SMB slagging off popular comedy - as predictable boxing day following Christmas. I really enjoyed it. Its a great show and James Corden is a talented guy as is Ruth Jones.
We had James Corden at a company do in Vegas earlier this year and he was absolutely hilarious. He’d researched the company, CEO etc and had absolutely everyone in stitches. Even the yanks were pissing themselves.

I was always a bit meh about him but he totally won me over that day. Very talented bloke.

That said, I stand by my earlier comments on last night. Very formulaic but it pressed the obvious buttons.

Loved it, it seems that it is cool on here to hate James Corden, I like the lad, worked his way up and is a huge star in American and is making f***ing bucketloads of cash. Seems to me that people hate other people do well and become rich and successful, particularly the complete miserable bastards on this board?

Always has been a excellent, well written show, would love to see another series as well.

Its funny that this argument over being jealous only seems to apply to James Corden? Why cant the Corden lovers just accept he's extremely marmite.

The first time I saw him he wa co-presenting TOTP & had no idea who he was. He was being an annoying bellend.

Theres other comedies & comedians that get slated on here (mainly female ones) and yet the likes of you never leap to their defence & say ooh yer are all just jealous etc.

Loved it. I didn't think it would be able to live up to the original but it was as good if not better.

10cc Dreadlock Holiday was a pastiche of reggae at best.

One little twist I did like was the karaoke where Ness sang the Shane MacGowan part and Bryn did the Kirsty MacColl part.

Aye, I thought it was ok tbh. Seen worse.
Just get annoyed when 4 adults share 1 joint and go on like that!

Let's be honest its been a poor year in the UK - Brexit/Elections etc. - Gavin and Stacey was what I wanted funny, comfort TV. The cynicism that accompanies such shows on social media is stifling. Just enjoy or don't watch it - you know for a fact that some people turned it on determined to hate it.

It was alright, enjoyed it. Bryden was on form I thought. Co-produced by Fulwell73, one of our own.

I liked Smiffy's Step Into Christmas sequence as well, made me chuckle

Got turned off upon clocking nobody could act; even Dawn and P Diddly were pratful.
The mother tho

Just playing on past gags from what I could tell through drink and drugs.

Was ok I suppose, but nowt special. I enjoyed the original three series, but it was never ‘stand out’ comedy anyway

The smithy fiancé bit, ness marriage proposal and the spliff dancing were all a bit crap I thought?

It's taken 10 years to get them back together .. it's because most of them are always working
I’d think at least 7 of those 10 years were down to the fact that the vast majority of people genuinely couldn’t give a shit one way or the other.

Barry probably needed a bit of a boost once the initial thrill of not having to pay to go into Wales subsided.
