The characters have become stale. You can predict the jokes this special. People like it because it's a feel good comedy it's hardly vintage comedy.

Another one for the ok but nowt special vote. Everything just felt very formulaic and borderline self-indulgent.

It was pretty good. If you know the backstory you'd have got all of it. If you don't then perhaps you might not find it funny. Same would go for Frasier, Only Fools, How I met you mother etc etc. First time I watched the office I thought it was a documentary. Read up on it, persevered and couldn't stop laughing at it. Treat yourself and go watch the original episodes.

Even the minor characters can be hilarious.

I know what they mean, they’re the two most boring characters in it.

SMB slagging off popular comedy - as predictable boxing day following Christmas. I really enjoyed it. Its a great show and James Corden is a talented guy as is Ruth Jones.
