Jordan Henderson

Both teams looked so lethargic, suppose it could be down to a long season and the heat. I also think the gap between the last league game and last night was a telling factor.

Footballers love an excuse.

If they've had three weeks off, they're too rusty.

If they haven't, they're too tired.

Absolutely chuffed to bits for Jordan Henderson..went to liverpool as a young lad and developed into an absolute world class footballer and person a true team player,
he's had stick off fan boys who are clueless about football but he's been captain for liverpool and England and finally got silverware......love it
The stick he got on RAWK was terrible. I hope the ignorant twats on there who dissed him hang their heads in shame. He’s everything a captain should be and more. What an engine, what a professional.
Congrat7lations to the Henderson family, it doesn’t get much better than this.

They are obviously good mates. Dunno why you’ve brought this up.

I just found it odd when I saw it..i read the whole document then saw that..i mean it's surely fake..the other players would hammer them if it was real.

If I recall correctly from my trusty copy of the 1980’s comprehensive school behavioural standards and norms handbook then the other players should refer to them as the botters, bumchums or bummers and someone should scratch into the bedroom door with a compass JH 4 AL IDST

Don’t get why anyone wouldn’t feel proud for him. If he was just born in Sunderland, but had nothing to do with the club, that’s one thing. But when he’s come through the academy from an early age and still loves the club, you’ve got to feel happy for him.

It’s not at all. Look on twitter at the amount of people saying he’s the worst player to lift the trophy, it’s a disgrace to the competition etc. People have slated him all his career
I remember when he left; the number of people saying why would anyone pay £20m for him? But the honest truth is, you don’t get to captain Liverpool, especially this team, if you’re not worthy of it.

It was just as the fees for English players started to go through the roof. I understood why some people thought it was a great fee but I thought it might end up looking low.

Since he’s been there he’s been shunted all over the pitch and asked to play roles that don’t make the most of his strengths. He’s not a match winner but he’s a great player. His various managers understand his worth but the poster suggesting he’s had the credit he’s deserved from fans and pundits is way off the mark.

I agree. There’s never been any doubt he puts a shift in, but you can’t command a regular place at a club like Liverpool with that alone. People used to say similar things about players like Deschamps and Gattuso - all about opinions I guess.

He used to get some awful stick off the Liverpool fans his first few seasons there..even the last couple of years there's been some..he's much more effective a bit higher up the pitch which Liverpool have addressed this season..he's got an engine second to none and his link up play with the strikers is obviously better in his further forward role..he's more than answered his critics.
