Because of Ross' utter failure to get us up last season we are now paying the price for it with complete shite like Parkinson in charge and a much worse squad of players.
Why the hell would you have someone back who created a problem which you have now?
Bang on mate. He's largely to blame for this mess we now have. People saying they'd rather have him than Parkinson, I'd rather have neither thanks.

This mess lies solely with SD, he's the one who bought a club he couldn't afford to run.

Yes should never of been sacked
People moan about PP, but our games under him are about x1000 better than the inept JR performances v Peterbrough, and Ipswich (first half) and Lincoln.
Those last 2 was honestly like watching my 15 Yr old kids team play man city.
That first half v Ipswich is the worst Sunderland performance I have ever seen. That Lincoln one, the worst 90 minutes I have ever seen. Honestly, I'm not exaggerating.
We haven't been great since, but we haven't been as bad as those awful performances.

Jr had to go

I think we’ve got worse. We lose more now than the normal 1-1. Let’s just see what happens under PP because there not going to sack him

Ross did have to go but most of our performances under Parkinson have been every bit as bad, and arguably worse, than those ones you mentioned from earlier in the season.

Which ones marra?
Scunthorpe arguably, in a shit nothing cup game, but no league games have been anywhere near as poor as Lincoln and Ipswich (first half!).
As said, the worst two performances I have ever seen.
I was at gillingham, and yes, it was awful, but still better than Lincoln.
I'm not defending PP btw, I'm just responding to the fella that said we shouldn't have sacked JR.
JR in his last few months was truly horrendous, and had to go.

I was happy for Ross to go because I felt promotion was the aim and I was certain we weren't going up under him. The team was worse than last year and beginning to look vulnerable against any team that had a go at us. There was also talk of an exciting takeover which made us think that the next manager might be given a real opportunity. However since then things have changed, i'm pretty sure Ross would be doing better than Parkinson although probably not by much but I don't think either manager has much chance under the current set up. Ross had his chance and blew his opportunity last year
