There has to be a couple of double firings over the next couple of weeks as I'm sure they select the finalists by mid December.
I think there will be a surprise firing next week, in the preview at the end last night, it showed Sugar pointing in completely the opposite direction from where they normally sit, possibly there will be someone getting booted immediately after the task.

those shots are just stock ones filmed for the fillers. I bet if you compare what he's wearing in the clip with the actual footage from the boardroom next week there'll be differences.

By my reckoning, there needs to be one double firing. 8 left and 2 tasks to go before the final 5 and the interview episode.

I still think the finalists will be two of Scarlett, Carina and Lewis. Wouldn't surprise me if Thomas made the final 5 though.
Carina was very lucky to be on the winning team, otherwise she'd have gone without question - disobeyed specific instructions from her superior and spent a load of money doing it. In the real world, not only would she have been 'demoted' from sub team leader, she'd have been removed from the project entirely and likely suspended from work.

Dean was also fortunate because he's absolutely useless and spineless, and has sneaked through several tasks whilst performing badly.

i dont think they are
i think they are the actual shot of him firing the gadgey but they put it in so people can try and work it out

Carina was actually part of them winning that task, they had a 10% reduction based on the offerings. Her instructions were for half the wine ordered, so there would have only been 20 bottles and 2 bottles of Prosecco.

Their costs were less than the other team, even with her overspend, their 10% fine for lack of Prosecco cost them £300 so if they'd ran out on the train then you could see the fine being nearer 20%-25%. Much more than what she had spent on wine and the entertainment.

Lotties dictatorial approach was the issue there, you know she is going to be sacked at some point (probably the final) and the excuse will be that "you are just too young for this process"....

Tbh you could have argued for any of the 3 of them to be fired had they lost, but Carina was arguably the biggest culprit. The entertainment was neither wanted by the client nor the PM, so was a ridiculous and negligent decision that wasted 150 quid. She also hugely overspent on the wine, which wasn't necessary. She (and Dean, who agreed with her and then passed the buck) cost the team well over 250 quid of unnecessary spend. She did all of that in conflict with her supervisor, which would be a gigantic red flag for Lord Sugar, on trusting her with his money.

Lottie I though was a very decisive and fair leader, and was massively justified in her demotion of Carina. She did make 1 big logistical error though, in that she didn't spread the colossal amount of wine very well, meaning there were empty glasses before they got on the train and then 800 bottles each on the train - some of that should have been moved across or more prosecco ordered - particularly as the client insisted on constant alcohol. Big error.

I don't know how Dean is still there mind, he just doesn't do anything and whenever he tries he makes a mess of it.

We didn't actually get told how many bottles of wine were left, if less than 20 then she did the right thing based on the client brief (agree the £150 spent on entertainment should have been spent on Prosecco).

As for Dean, he even had to be told how to serve a plate of food.

When Lottie's put herself forward in the past, everyone else in the room looks horrified. She's not seen as a serious candidate because she's young, loud and annoying. Great for TV, terrible for group tasks.

That (and her dictatorial managing style) pushed Carina to the edge. It's probably cost her the top spot as relatively speaking she's been a great team player up to now.

The scene with Lottie telling her off and demoting her was TV gold. Imagine being a hard working 30 year old running your own bakery and getting your legs slapped by a 19 year old brat

Staged imo

If she hadnt have done that though they'd have run out of booze and lost more refunds.

They wouldn't have run out man, they had 44 bottles for 15 people, on our a 4 hour trip. That's 3 bottles each in 4 hours! If they'd ran out, they'd have been calling ambulances not Lord Sugar. She could have ordered 30 bottles and still had spares.

She was given one key expectation of the client "no glass will run dry" the fact that Lottie who probably sips her wine rather than guzzles it, expected 1 bottle per person to be enough so therefore 20 more than enough - it was a corporate gig and whenever I've been on them there are always those who push the boundary (strangely usually the owners / managers). I'd have rather been sat comfortable in the knowledge that customer expectation was being met rather than getting through bottle 18 and worrying that they might neck the last 2 bottles.

So most people drink 3 bottles of wine each in 4 hours no bother?
On a jolly I'd say most will do 2 no bother. Lottie saying a bottle each was nonsense.

Of course me saying 15 people would polish of most of 40 bottles doesn't equal 3 each mind.
