Apathy is the acceptance of the unacceptable- John Stott

I am all for giving PP a chance, even though he was not on my shortlist, but to be given a chance he must show he is worth it.
Each game we seem worse under him.
I mean... zero shots against Gillingham???

Leicester sacked their Manager a few months after winning the Premier League
Tottenham sacked their Manager a few months after a Champions League final

Could you imagine us calling for the Managers head after any of those?
Since PP came in we have stumbled to new low levels in our long history with no glimpses of any improvement whatsoever.
Serious questions need to be asked why he was appointed
Or we can accept failure and continue to be a shadow of a once proud club.

If only it was as easy as sacking the manager. The real problems lie in Donald, Hill and Coton.

Your plea needs to be aimed at Donald and Methven, but they’re not Sunderland fans they’re businessmen.

19 games after the EC final Poch got. Should that be the marker? That said, didn't Dalgleish get binned 5 games into a season at The Sid James?

They are businessmen but they are human, they make mistakes too.
Bob Murray made mistakes, he admitted so with Wilko and there was others.
It is how they react to their mistakes.
They really do need to take a long hard look at themselves.
But that does not mean they cannot learn from their mistakes
follow my lead marra, don’t spend a dime on them and do something enjoyable like sitting on a cucumber

Sunderland is a way of life.... win, lose or draw.

There is no x amount of games marker, you must go with your gut instinct.
Doing that you would know that Ross should have went after the playoffs final

If we continue losing the owners will have to act - the key then is who is the replacement manager? In our position it needs to be a left field appointment along the lines lines of a Keane or a Keegan (not literally them). Someone who can galvanise, scare and generally have the team playing out of their skins. Anything less will be more of the same. I'm not too hopeful.

All hope is not lost.
Sheffield Utd were in a similar position and then they appointed Chris Wilder.
I bet no one saw 2 consecutive promotions with no big spending until they got to the Premier League.
Bring the right man in and suddenly the doom and gloom is lifted

This season is going the same way as the championship season. Same kind of managerial appointment("knows the league") and a group of players we all thought were good enough to get us back up. Turns out they're actually shit.
Honestly think the team is more capable of going down right now than competing anywhere at the top. This league stinks and we fit right in.

Leyton Orient just sacked their gaffer after 40 days because they recognised that he was the wrong appointment and didn’t fit the culture of the club

That implies that their mistakes began with appointing PP. in reality their mistakes began on day one. I’m not sure they’ve made a single football decision that will advance us in any significant way during their entire tenure. That doesn’t give me confidence that they have the depth of thought and understanding of football necessary to dig us out from the malaise they’ve created.

I am not sure that is right, Ross was so close and yet so far. We were less than 90 minutes from being in the Championship.
Replacing him with PP was where everything suddenly went wrong.

Insanity is doing something again and again and expecting different results innit?

we’re all mental

mebbe not yet,but i'm getting there, full blown basket case on the horizon

This is our biggest problem, Mourinho, Klopp or Guardiola would struggle with this group of players.

Phil has came here as the cheap option, however he has loads of experience in the league.
He reckons that he has identified why we are so poor late on in the game, assume it’s because we ain’t fit, there’s a surprise.
Feel sorry for the bloke, because Ross or whoever built this side, left it in a shit state.
It can’t be underestimated how bad a squad we have and the lessons learnt over the past about signing players at the end of there career and lack of physicality and pace has been ignored yet again.
The foundations left by Ross has had a significantly impact to our current squad being so weak.
It’s speculation about the players division, I hope this isn’t true, as PP has a tough enough job getting this lot to kick a ball.
