So I'll ask the question again. Why the fuck don't we use hotspot in England!!!!

Just like the stupid quirk of this series not counting towards the test championship.

Cricket just being stupid for stupid sake

My first reaction was "Feck", then saw the NZ players not bothering and thought I was fooled. Turns out to be a bad call not to review.

"Like a vegetarian having a slice of wafer thin ham." Bumble's on the poppers early!

If you have BT Sport, you can put on Australia v Pakistan during lunch. I think I'll hang on for the first few overs of that before having a kip.

The mentality of an opening batsman in test cricket should be that you have 5 days to go and break Lara’s test record

bat time. No one expects you to score quickly. Just bat and bat and bat

Out if interest, why isn't this series not counted towards the championship?

Don't know like, it looks pretty docile to me.
Yeah, it looks pretty flat but hopefully the difference for us compared to when Curran has played on flat pitches before is we have something out of the ordinary in Archer. Hopefully this allows bowlers like Curran to keep it tight and maybe get a little bit of movement or swing that can cause problems.

Exactly. You are not going to win a test match in the first session as we seem to have tried to while batting many times in the last few years. You can lose the test match in the first session though.

The extra runs you lose through a slower scoring rate will easily be made up and more by this England middle order when the ball gets older as long as you don't put them under pressure due to losing too many wickets too quickly.
