New Music Releases Thread

Only seen him once and I thought it was an act. My impression was of insecurity

It's a possibility.
New releases this week come from Animal Collective (a live album), Beck, Billy Corgan, Coldplay, Hannah Diamond, Harry Nilsson (posthumous), Jaakko Eino Kalevi (a mini album), Jason Aldean, Leonard Cohen (posthumous), Lindemann, Luke Lalonde, Omar Souleyman, Pluralone, The Who (although Amazon reckon December 6th) and Maija Sofia. Also, the Girl Ray album was delayed from 2 weeks back and is out this week.

There’s also a covers album from Ben Lee which actually might interest a few on here since he’s covering bands like Sonic Youth, Sebadoh, Daniel Johnston and Dinosaur Jr.

Only thing that interests me from that lot is the Girl Ray album. the 2 recent singles are intriguing. And the new Haim single 'Hallelujah', while it shouldn't appeal, I find utterly gorgeous. Look forward to the new album.

loved the first album (it’s probably in my top 3 of the decade - top 2 of @Arkle has his way and we only start at 2011) but found the second a bit hit and miss. Hoping the 3rd is a return to form.
Strangely enough, I originally thought I preferred the 2nd album to the first but now think the same as you, although the 2nd still has some damned good stuff on it.

New album today from Death in Vegas maestro Richard Fearless.
Very good indeed. Centrepiece of album, 11 minute Deep Rave Memory is top drawer

Yowl mini album out this week. “Mammalian Fondness”. On red vinyl no less. Just gotta buy a turntable to play it on. The UKs best newish band, seen em more times than any other.

I'm currently enjoying the latest Darkness album, overblown guitar pop, what's not to like?
I’ll be honest and say I enjoyed their first album, but there was a track from the new one on the Apple Music New Music tailored playlist and it was horrendous! Should stick to writing theme tunes for CBeebies!
Remember thinking Politik was a canny tune years ago like.
First 3 albums are decent TBF
