Pizza. I'm almost always disappointed. Had one wed at Sabatinis, just average. The top 10 Pizzas i've had were all bought in France.

Chinese. Donkeys years since i had one. Probably stowell st. Something chickeny and fried rice.

Fish and chips. Cod and chips is part of my matchday routine from Danielas in Boldon, but i now think Glaziers is better, but parking prevents me from using them.

Curry. Takeaway from Sajies in Gateshead, is normally Chicken Tikka and egg rice. Restaurant would be Dabawal, that would be Lamb cutlets, Murge chettinadi Madras.

Chinese - Large Spring Rolls, Special Satay with Chips, Special Fried Rice - From Lucky Star, feeds three of us.
Indian - Kitchen Special with Chips - From Nawaab, feeds three of us, sometimes four if we add another dish.
Pizza - Best ones I've ever had were in Rovinj, Croatia. Never had one in this country - restaurant or takeaway - that has come remotely close.

Thai usually mixed meat Penang
Chinese usually a Singapore beef curry
Pizza , very rare occurrence
Indian , usually a tandoori mixed grill or a thali as takeaway - hubbie makes such good curries only bother with those if sitting in
Roast pork chow mein black bean from liking. Enough for two scrans.

Weighs a ton that , chicken satay for starters and my Singapore beef curry with some rice or noodles and enough for two meals - Liking is great

I like the sound of this.... think we'll order from Liking tonight now I've just discovered they deliver!

Thank you SMB 😁

We are stuck in a bit of a takeaway rut, always playing it safe and ordering the same things from the same places.

What dishes do you order and from where?

Regularly go off piste, but these are my safe go to orders. Curry usually wins simply because there are so many nice ones in the NE and Chinese etc always seems a gamble.

Curry - whatever variation of Naga the place we are ordering from does, nut pilau, chilli naan, chapati, onion bhajis (this goes out the window of the place does a Sabka Maza, alishaan on sea road do and it is the best). Failing either of these, Madras is the default for me.

Chinese - deep fried Crispy shredded chicken In Cantonese sauce, plain rice, chicken satay, crispy won-tons with sweet and sour sauce

Pizza - pepperoni and jalapeño if from a minging hangover place. Classic Neapolitan margarita if from somewhere nice

Chip shop - Cod bites and chips, tar tar sauce, lots of salt and vinegar

Indian - Chicken Tikka Balti Curry, Vegetable Pilau, Plain Naan and sometimes have an Onion Bhaji on the side.
Chippy - Fish (Cod/Hake/Halibut) & Chips.

Not keen on Chinese and never get takeaway pizza.
