This Club has been sinking for many years. SD is all about protecting his invest and pulled the wool over Short who wanted to wash his hands of the Club. SD is greedy and I say follow the money. Have said this I do think L1 does not take a large investment to get out of our position. I do think failure to react the Playoffs is a step backwards but next year more large wages will leave the books which might help us start repairing our proud Club.

I think this forum probably used to be a lot richer in fans who actually go to games. You only have to look at the amount of activity during a home game to know the majority now don’t go.
The biggest problem for me is that on the internet it’s generally the thickest people who are the most persistent and therefor drown out any decent or logical conversation. This applies to more than just football but is very applicable on this forum at the moment. Full of your typical tabloid headline, drama craving imbeciles.

That was typed as the interview was ongoing, he turned it round quite well in the end.

He was being asked question at the time and completely avoiding the question posed.

i.e. ‘If you or Juan could put the money in like you say, Why didn’t you?’ - he then waffled on about something completely different which meant the question never got answered.

He did answer it. He wanted the Americans involved as they offered a lot more then he,
Juan or Charlie could (or indeed anyone else interested)

Forums attract deliberate trolls, bored people, people who enjoy drama and conflict and there is always more chance of of offense when anonymity is present and tone of voice can be misinterpreted due to the limits of text only conversation.

Moods can be contagious like sweeping excitement over a potential takeover, doom and gloom following a bad run. Also when there is conflict between two perceived sides (positive vs negative fans) folks can stop assuming good intentions and honest opinion from the "otherside".

Also there's some folks who want a chat.

His PR man saying it had nothing to do with the club certainly cost them both a lot of credibility. He came out after it hit the presses that a loan against the SOL and AOL was taken out. Glad he came out instead of Charlie though. He generally does better.

I would never speak for the majority of this board, but the reason for me not believing him is the fact he's been a bit economical with the truth since ever since he has been here.

Always found Donald comes across open and honest in his interviews, a lot of the anger comes because fans understandably aren’t experts in these types of business deals and are reading conspiracy theories on here and taking that as gospel. For me the jury is out and we will get some answers as to how they want to take this club forward in January. It’s results that matter first and foremost so address the shortcomings on the pitch and we can start looking forward not back.

I honestly believe he sees FFP as being something that could dramatically change the club and region. He wants it to succeed as much as we do so why he is getting a hard time on this makes me wonder about some people intentions.

The next 7-8 weeks are going to be massive for him and the club and the time for questions will be then. Until then they have my full support.

I actually think Donald spoke quite well. He should have come out earlier instead of leaving it to his marketing guru, who has no idea. They have made some really bad mistakes in the transfer market, the biggest one trying to force Maja’s agent into a corner costing us promotion. Unfortunately agents have the power and can make or break you. We need someone to score us 20 goals simple as that. Grigg was not playing when we signed him, nor was McNulty and Wyke started on the back foot with injury.

I think people are upset as his business partner and part owner deliberately mislead everyone last week. Was SD aware he was going to do this?

Good post. Some on here need to read this and have a look at themselves if they are genuine Safc supporters and not mags or wums which I think a lot are.
