That's a fair comment marra.Yes it's when a person is conscious.
It exists in the brian.Sentience. An awareness of internal or external existence.

So trees don't have a consciousness.Sentient but on a level where you are self aware.
So trees don't have a consciousness.
They really do look after each other according to recent things you only just found out as a botanist.I’d suggest not.
I'd suggest that they do. Maybe not on the level that we understand it but they do communicate. They do decide where and when to give other tress sustenance. They do display some level of consciousness. Trees are brilliant.I’d suggest not.
Well they display some signs. The level of that consciousness is a prospect for further study.Thinks trees have a conscious ^
Trees really do look after each other. They are a good starting point for how us as humans have evolved to think and understand things.Well they display some signs. The level of that consciousness is a prospect for further study.
Think about it and you'll feel self-conscious.Can you answer this question?
Phil on a settee.What philosopher?
Its not about self consciousness its about trying to understand what makes us conscious.Think about it and you'll feel self-conscious.
Trees are a good starting point? I'd suggest something closer to us on the evolutionary map. Chimpanzees are traditionally accepted as a decent staring point in looking at human evolutionary behaviour. The way they act as a group. Factors that fuel aggression and anger. Patriarchal v matriarchal society. Their abstract social behaviour.Trees really do look after each other. They are a good starting point for how us as humans have evolved to think and understand things.
