It's certainly not a good idea to disrespect the survivors. Not condoning it, just saying it may happen as some of these white poppy lot are very insulting.Do you think that's a good way to honour the fallen?

No, yes, the opposite. You find a white flower offensive? Are you sure you were in the forces? You sound like a right snowflake.
Not belong before the white poppy brigade go too far with the red poppy wearers.... and get their sanctimonious heads stoved in.
Is it because he looks like a potato and frightened that someone will think he's just sprouted and chuck him in the bin?
I know it takes the piss, like some of the above posters on here asking if I'm sure I was in the military and I'm a snowflake . Some offensive pricks on here, see my previous post on this thread.I seen some twat on social media wearing rainbow coloured ones, how f***ing disrespectful can you get?
There are other ways such as visiting the battlefields and attending religious services on and around the 11th November.Do you think that's a good way to honour the fallen?
Get thumped basically. Quite a few of us ex-mil aren't happy with their "presence"
Oswald Mosley was spot on in that regard.Voting to make war more likely doesn't honour the fallen and those who fought. It shows we learned nothing for their sacrifice at all.
Jackonory.. Is less of a story.. Sorry that's bo licksI saw a woman giving a young shop assistant behind the counter all sorts of abuse last year as she was the only one of the staff not wearing it, there were some very choice phrases. The girl looked like she was almost in tears, looked down at her front, apologised and bent down to pick it up from where it had fallen on the floor and returned it to her lapel. I will wear a poppy this year as always, but sadly there is truth in that article, and an element of fascism (dictionary definition, not Fascism) has in recent years entered the poppy tradition. It's a great pity.
