Haven’t seen today’s game but how come Mahmood bowled four overs and was absolutely smashed all over the place, but Parkinson bowls two overs for just 14?

I would love to know how they expect to consistently win games with Billings at 5 and Curran at 6.

Billings averages less than 17 in T20 internationals and less than 23 in ODIs (I know SR in T20s is of greater importance, but at 5 he needs scores too).

he’s a failure at this level

Curran has real talent, but he’s never an international number 6

Just watched the replay and can confirm that threw it away. The pitch slowed for both teams, but England lost soft wickets when under very little pressure

Yes,if the purpose of this series was to test the fringe players they've found the answers. Vince, Billings and Mahmood aren't up to standard but will the selectors take heed?

Vince has had a few decent innings this series and mahmood poor but you have to give people more than 2games

Billings and Vince have had chance after chance and failed to deliver. For some reason they are seen as golden boys. They both need putting out their misery.

Vince in particular has an infinite capacity to disappoint.

Watched this so far, great to see the fringe players playing a top white ball side in NZ on their own patch. We already have a T20 team capable of winning the WC so harm on seeing who we have in the reserve bank. Parkinson looks the real deal to me, one for red & white ball cricket.
