"Has form" implies it's a regular occurence, and yet in the article:

They later said the post was in response to a "very specific incident" in the city centre on Wednesday, August 14.

Everybody knows what happened after that pre season friendly was bullshit. You'd have to be a complete mug to believe it. Not at all comparable to the horse puncher.
