I think our owners are regarded highly in football circles as an example of how a club should be run. I can understand the investors wanting to maintain the current structure.

If they had the best interests of the club at heart they'd be second mortgaging the stadium and pumping that an the loan money into banks in the Cayman Islands.

I for one will NOT be hoodwinked by charlatans who choose to spend that amount of money on the club.

You got 15 as 5 of them are in the recommended articles on the right, 2 are the article title and subtitle, 2 more are picture remarks and one in the read more section! :lol::lol:

The word 'takeover' within the article text is mentioned just 5 times. Only once is SD quoted as saying it which is "There's no connection to any takeover news." However this was him answering and laughing off a suggestion to the sacking of Ross being done to appease the fans after a takeover collapse.

All the other 4 times it's just whoever wrote the article is saying takeover. The word 'investment' is mentioned 4 times and SD is quoted saying it 3 different times and he also says the word invest once also. I think it's safe to say he was talking about investment and the first quote is simply him replying to a question that mentioned takeover regarding Jack Ross being sacked.

yeah the should concentrate on that but should the they not have been doing that 18 months ago anyway? my point is decision makers currently have done well so why would that change now.

It’s brilliant the involved mate i just believe we need someone better than Donald and co to take us forward and hopefully in time that’s the case as that would be the sensible thing to do with the track record they have, and not to be funny now but are you been sensible it’s been said around 8 figures and people keep saying it’s 10mil
Now your telling us £20mil or do you know something others don’t?
 
Sounds good. Must be the start of a long term plan/investment.

Let's hope we spend it wisely and dont scare them off. We HAVE to spend some of it in January on players and get out of this shit league.

Maybe I am mate.

But as someone who has been pretty critical of the club over the last year I can still look at this as a potentially hugely positive step for us.
Without this I think we were dead certs for another season in this league I now have hope and that's what I was concentrating on - the investment if hugely significant for us.

What elements of the 'around nine figures' funding announcement for players, scouting and academy (things you in particular have been critical of) do you think I should concentrate on / have missed?

Why don’t people just give it a rest and he t behind the club, the owners aren’t out of there depth, they have said from day 1 they will look for further investment and now they have got that, it can only be a good thing

Not all 55 critical, I’ve read the forum for years but I’ve never really wanted to voice my opinion before as the club hasn’t been this bad in my lifetime, and most of the stuff about the takeover was getting posted on here so i wanted to be able to ask questions as everyone seemed to know something. Is that ok? And you will see most of my posts have probably been in the last two/three days.

the point being that 'takeover' was at that time still the prominent word used for whatever was going on and even SD used it, maybe unintentionally. at the time i felt it was fairly significant. hopefully today is just the start of their investment with us and leads onto bigger and better things.

but he sold the £3m stake qite a while ago..time makes the value of assets go up you see...its kind of how time works..
