What is Madrox ?
the company juan stewart and charlie set up to buy sunderland..
it has its own dircetors accounts etc..
just as quinny and his lads set up drumaville tio buy safc..
when ellis came in he simpy bought drumavilel from them,,..
sounds liek these guys are simply buying madrox from its owners..

the only assets of madrox are the shares it owns in safc..so they get control that way..

It was always investment and it looks like at first it's in the holding company.

Why would these guys have gone public and appeared at games just for a loan where there's absolutely no involvement?

We could have got an loan from almost anywhere give the club is sound financially again.
lets ee if they become directors of madrox..no one said anything about no involvement..

Careful, you'll blow their simple minds!!

@Grumpy Old Man Does it look like this, or is it real investment? Please dumb your answer down, as I really don’t understand the financial side of all this!

Until I see some detail, I have no idea. The shareholding percentages referred to are those of the owners in Madrox, which in turn owns 100% of Sunderland Limited, the holding company for the club. The investment could be a straight loan into either Madrox or Sunderland, or else they could buy new shares in Sunderland Limited. That would leave the ownership of Madrox unchanged, but make FPP a shareholder in Sunderland. I really need to see some Companies House filings before I'm prepared to commit myself. Either way, if an eight figure sum (meaning in excess of £10m) hits SAFC's bank account, that's an enormous investment by L1 standards.

depends if the loan is convertible into shares at a later date..so

Cheers. Not sure if a club statement will clarify but you'd have to assume it will be convertible, unless FPP have decided to try their hand at being a bank. Hopefully they convert it into shares eventually even if we're doing a bit shit! Would hate to think their future involvement all hangs on us getting it right now!
