Levels of Apathy with our club are rising quickly.

What positives have we had in the past 12 months?

- Lost the checkatrade cup final;
- Missed out on automatic promotion;
- Lost the playoff final;
- No news on the potential takeover, doesn't sound positive at all after being led to believe multi-billionaire owners were investing in the club:
- 9th in the league, failing to beat Bolton and getting turned over by Lincoln;
- Managerless, with the possibility of Phil Parkinson taking over.

Let's face it, it's shite.

No amount of spin can alter the fact we are at the lowest point (I f***ing hope!!) in this club’s history.

This waiting game and guess work is not good! Don’t know about you lot, but quite a few I know and myself are quite sitting very high on the ‘couldn’t give a fuck scale’.....anyone else?
Yep. Feel about things similar to when grayson was in charge.

Gone from thinking a couple of weeks ago that we were going to be taken over by three billionaires to that almost certainly not happening and appointing a manager nobody wants.

Crowds will plummet next season imo if donald and co are still in control.

Seriously, it’s not apathy I feel but a deep sense of concern.

You were quite excited about the supposed board meeting today you posted about.
..erm, i posted if you look back that there was a meeting booked in Tuesday. Posting what i got told. Show me my quotes where i i was "quite excited"???? I posted what i got told.

I think it’s safe to say, SD will not be here next season. The grass though is not always greener

Not sure about the apathy but the levels of negativity about the club on this board have risen hugely in the last 3 months.

Fair enough mate but if you were so apathetic about the club as you have said you are on this thread, why create a thread yesterday about a 20 man board meeting, your attitude changed overnight??

Feels like we’re entering a new era of wilderness and mediocrity. I’ll still support the bastards though and at some point, we’ll rise again.

I disagree mate. It’s the takeover that is causing the concerns and could ruin us for years to come.
I disagree. The takeover is the only thing keeping most of us going. If MSD takeover and we become one of the world's richest clubs then the sky's the limit.

At the moment we aren't going anywhere. From a football stand point we are clueless and need proper football people in to run the club.

I have supported the club for over 50 years and like many supporters have had to endure many ups and downs (mainly the latter). However you either support the club or you don’t. It a greatly saddens me to read that some people are ready to throw the ‘towel in’. I love this club and would support it even in non league football. It’s not as bad as people are portraying. We may find our new manager actually does well and improves our performances and who knows, we may yet have substantial investment. Hopefully we’ll pick up a good few points over the forthcoming games and climb towards the top.

I don't like the waiting game, but apathetic about Sunderland? Never!
There comes a point where you have to become apathetic just to preserve your mental health. You get your hopes built up and then it all comes crashing down. It would make the happiest of happy clappers start thinking there's better things to do in life than supporting SAFC. Especially the older ones amongst us!
