Maybe but can you give any argument why you would sack Ross and then replace him with Parkinson? Any logic in that at all?

Yes Ross imo did a poor job with the best resources available to him in this league. By the way I wasn’t using the delusional point specifically to Parkinson more in general regarding the reaction to many re the takeover. I’ve aleays thought of us as being a grounded lot in the past

Even if they have am I not right in thinking that Barnsley under Stendel had the most clean sheets in the league last season?

I just think that anything Parkinson offers can be offered by someone else that is available and attainable without further dividing and disengaging the fan base.

19 clean sheets same as Luton I believe. This is the point really isn't it - Stendel got Barnsley promoted last season with the most clean sheets and a definitive style of football. A brand that was fast paced, direct, attacking with an aggressive press, something most fans are clamouring for. He also did this whilst getting his team automatically promoted with a recruitment strategy completely out of his hands.
He's also free (out of work) and there cheaper than paying a club compensation.
He's a manager that many fans (polls, forums and social media opinion) would be excited about and want.

Parkinson has also been promoted from this league but plays a brand of football that may be effective but is uninspiring, boring and insipid and there is no guarantee he'll be able to get us up with 33 games remaining.

So that begs the question, why Parkinson over someone like Stendel when neither are guaranteed yo get us promoted but one is a man the fans would like with a definitive style of football or the other of whom is the complete opposite and someone the fans do not want at all?

You are 100% spot on and I have also been saying the same all week.

Why Parkinson and not Stendel? I can only put it down to the cosier chat that Coton would have had with Parkinson vs probably a more formal type of relationship with Stendel who's path would never of crossed Coton's in the past whereas Parkinson's certainly will have done.

Favouritism over the best candidate for the job imo.

It also seems as though Parkinson has impressed with his 'working on a shoestring' recruitment.
He's seemingly cheaper in more ways than one and will allow as little spend as possible in January if its Parkinson.
Stendel I imagine will have asked for a certain amount of control and a budget for players.

Maybe but Barnsley's net spending was only just over £1 million last season.

Maybe Stendel had a view on scouting which would mean it would be like the Turkey's voting for Christmas.

He wasn’t popular at Bolton, his style was boring and dirge.
Can’t possibly see what can go wrong here.

Beginning of the end for Donald if he appoints him
What do you mean beginning of the end for donald?...he owns the club and can do what the fekk he likes !
Total lack of ambition from us.
Yhe only ambition they are looking at is to break even!the football is secondary to that im afraid!

It will push a lot of people to the brink if he appoints Phil f***ing Parkinson.
Parkinson's stats. the last column is his win % ratio. absolutely woeful if he's the one who's "ticking all the boxes"
for the record Ross had a 50% win ratio for us

Appalling that we are even considering him, Will be no better than Ross.
