That sounds like a canny job that you could mix with a bit of travel blogging.
 
You can run a more economical scouting pool if you’re being smart about things. Christ you could contract in statsbomb to do initial analysis for a few weeks of Oviedos wages. I understand the need to balance the books but you’d think that would make them more innovative with their processes. Instead we’re just a bunch of dinosaurs. Christ we need a total change of direction.

I knew a bloke who worked for Middlesbrough Council but was a scout for Neil Warnock - scouted for him no matter what club he was at.
He once called me before a game and asked if I wanted to go with him, met him outside the main stand and we just walked in and he knew everyone. It was weird seeing how he worked - for example he had a very specific task, he just had one player to watch and marked down everything he did.
He was paid buttons - just enough to cover his fuel iirc.

Cotons scouting seemed limited to the North West where he lives
 
Ross did say a few times that we needed to be more robust in the scouting department. It’s no real shock we don’t have any based on our business.
 
Either we had no scouts and just relied on TC's recommendations and recommendations from agents, or we used 3rd party scouts - paid for specific, individual signings, rather than being 100% employed SAFC.
