James hunter apparently reckons the fans have unrealistic expectations

It was hard to hear some of the stuff he was saying, just as it was years ago when he appeared on Wise Men Say Podcast defending Moyes to the hilt when everyone else could see he was a walking disaster.

I quite like James, I've met him a few times and he's always very polite and respectful. I just wish that the local media as a whole were more representative of the fanbase they're aiming to appeal to.

Total football.

You say that like we've got world beaters.
Players like Mcgeady and Grigg (I know he's bang out of form) are world beaters in this league.
We've also got Power and Flanagan who've both been promoted from this league.
We also took Peterborough's captain (Baldwin) and Coventry's best center half (Willis).
We have probably if not the best goalkeeper in this league.
We have by far the best training facilities.

Fleetwood and Wycombe have got nothing like this yet still out perform us.

I know but you cannot expect to win especially as we're not exactly playing well.
Come on, you have to admit that.
Would you stick a hefty wedge on us winning our next game?

I never expect anything from them but last Saturday is the bottom of a very deep barrel. (Well it isn't it could easily get worse)

Who the fuck is James Hunter ?

When did his opinion matter ?

Did a load of people die and leave him in charge, or something, like an implausible start to a really shit comedy film ? Is he a King Ralph amongst pundits ?

CLUE: A REALISTIC EXPECTATION FOR A CLUB WITH OUR TRADITIONS, SUPPORT AND RESOURCES IS TO NOT BE IN THE f***ing THIRD TIER.

It's utterly bizarre when people think our expectations are too high. I genuinely, will never understand it.

Said on the latest RR podcast I'm reading on Twitter....

Who mentioned 100 points? Who mentioned 20 clean sheets? Who came out and said there was no excuses this time? It wasnt the fans james...

Also the same journalist who questioned why the fans thought we had money to spend. Maybe because the week before the owner said on a podcast we did and had bids out.

Fans fault again though? Pisses me right off honestly.

Hunter is a safc pr man, and a dick.

The fact Hunter defended Moyes says everything!

Hunter is the arbiter of who and who cannot call him/herself a Sunderland fan. Self-appointed.

Not my cup of tea but I can see why some like it. On this particular issue I could see the club down to low 20's next season if the takeover falls through and we're stuck with Ross.
We will be applying to join the Scottish leagues soon with this Dross assembled

totally agree. I'm not sure how he can sit watching as many games as he does and not question why the performances are so shocking.

makes me question the motives or whether he knows something that no one else does.
Although there is a sense of smugness in making out the fans don't know what they're talking about. Granted some don't but the performances have been obvious to even the thickest.
