Dylan McGeough

If our academy can't 'produce' a kid that is better than McGeouch then every single coach that works there should be sacked

Ya haven’t a clue unfortunately
Ii personally think he is a decent player if he is given time!so when we play against teams that sit back hes ok but when hes up against a pressing big forward thinking team he is mediocre at best ..watch him next game ,he runs around marking space and the grass when the opposition have the ball ..He has no pace ,cannot tackle is far to lightweight fo league one.please dont start with this havent got a clue nonsense my opinion is as valuable as yours, i simply disagree with you.

He is Tommy Miller esque. Has actually started some games well and then about 30 minutes in he is knackered and becomes an anonymous passenger.

The fact Ross can start him in front of Leadbitter and for a number of weeks in front of Power is almost criminal.

It's even worse when he is left on for the 2nd half of a game without getting subbed when he can't contribute anything.
Apparently he is what made McGinn tick at Hibs....well McGinn is ticking at Villa now so make some other tick here ffs

Should be sitting at the base of a midfield 3. He knows how to position himself defensively and can slot into the back line easy enough.
Play 4-3-3 and stop expecting our wingers to track back as they just can’t get up and down the pitch quick enough.
Get the defence up higher and basically grow a set of balls.
Yes we’ll concede some from balls over the top but we might actually give teams something to think about.

We should probably be doing this but not with f***ing McGeouch. He should never play for us again, total fraud.
He wasn’t the worst player.

We’re better with him in the side than when he’s not.

We're f***ing not like, he's absolutely gash.

Funny as loads were obsessed with him having to start.. best midfielder at the club etc...
that's just typical clueless fans that seem to think players get better when they aren't in the team (see watmore gets better with every injury)
DM is terrible moves like a player 10 years older than what he is, only ever wants simple possession which usually means he is standing on centre backs toes or drifts to full back position
Hasn't got a decent pass over 10 yards in him and never gets close enough to opposition players to actually get his foot in
shocking footballer

He’s absolutely f***ing hopeless. Small, weak, can’t cover enough ground. Doesn’t press, doesn’t tackle, never controls the game. Isn’t a goal threat, doesn’t assist, rarely starts any build up play.

You’re still saying he should be dropped for being a defensive midfielder not scoring goals? Maybe for not playing well but not the backward reason you gave
Look man he has been f***ing hopeless. Arguing that people have the wrong reasons for saying he’s been hopeless is neither here nor there. He has been f***ing useless and that’s all that really matters

I’ve seen him have good and bad - he has something but it isn’t consistent and I’d be playing Dobson and Power and I’m not entirely sure about Dobson but he does have legs. For the record all I ever said was that if you judge McGeough’s performances on his creative output when it’s clearly not his game you don’t know football. I stand by that. You wouldn’t judge Makelele on that and he did ok.

All true. And it shows up Ross knowledge of the game that he desperately wanted him as a key member of the team.

He's awful, he has no attributes to effect a game. He's a crab who takes the easy option. He's lightweight, rarely wins a header or a tackle.

Players need to either score, assist in scoring or stop the other team from scoring. McGeouch does none of the above. Both Leadbitter and Dobson are far more effective than him. Ross still picks him and doesn't take him off either.
