Suppose cancelling now makes sense as well.

IF we get to say Wednesday next week and there’s still no news, SD has 2 choices.

1) go ahead with the talk in and be bombarded with takeover questions all night

2) cancel at 48 hours notice which would let everyone down and also send some people into a proper panic regarding the takeover.

Actually that's the umpteenth time I've been told stuff about the takeover in advance but haven't bothered to share it with you - well, not until immediately after the event any way.

I do feel a bit of a donkey but I've been distracted trying weed out all the journalists fake accounts.

I've also been really stressed about losing my job as moderator so I've been putting in double shifts keeping this thread alive, and I'm not ashamed to admit, just to stay onside with the gaffer.

He could however let everyone know in advance that there would be no takeover talk, due to legal reasons. A simple statement like that on Twitter and facebook would make everyone feel a bit more relaxed. I know he's not obliged....

He's been quiet lately. That could be interpreted both ways. Is he quiet because legally he shouldn't talk about it. Or is it because he knows there's impending bad news.
