I think it will head that way over time as I bet even the likes of Man Utd don't appreciate the fact they paid this below for Sanchez when I posted it on August 15th, along with Mkhitaryan's costs. It's f***ing shocking really, £40m salary in 81 weeks man, that's over 4 times our season's gate receipts the last time we were in the Premier League!

************ Thor'd *************

Since Jan 22nd 2018 it's been 81 weeks he's been there so he's earned £40.5m from salary alone (this isn't including all the other income he'll get). His total appearance in all competitions info for Man Utd according to Soccerway website.

Total Apps: 50
Total Goals: 7
Starts: 36
Total time on pitch: 3196 mins
Average Appearance time: 64 mins
Min per goal: 456
Cost per min on pitch: £12,672
Cost per goal: £5,785,714

f***ing hell man, over £5m for every goal? And we thought Rodwell was a bad deal!:lol:

Mkhitaryan isn't that great either!
Total Apps: 62
Total Goals: 9
Starts: 44
Total time on pitch: 3971 mins
Average Appearance time: 62 mins
Min per goal: 441
Cost per min on pitch: £4,079 (based on £200k wages)
Cost per goal: £1,800,000
Hopefully it does.

Signing on fee
Bonus for matches played
Bonus for goals scored/clean sheets kept
Bonus for assists
Team bonus for win
Bonus for tackles made

There's numerous more that could be included such as shots on target as well as penalties for red cards etc.

A bonus for matches played would stop the City's and Chelseas of the world hoovering up all the talent as the players would earn naff all.

The problem is when posters like @Mrjardine, @PhilSAFC and @The Rat blatantly troll and then try to play all innocent about it when other posters then start to lose their patience with them.
I've just picked this bit out of your long post. Don't you think that while you have posters like reiver and the people who enjoy his posts that it gives the board balance to have a few posters that disagree or have an alternative point of view?

When I read all these threads (or part of the threads as they get a bit too long on occasion) I like to see posters pulled if they spout something wrong or I like to see alternative points of view, it is what makes the place interesting. If we all agreed, there wouldn't be much point reading after post 1.

I'll keep it short but I'm not saying that people can't disgree or have an alternative view. However as I said, it's the repetiveness of it as one of those posters was still bleating on about the Friday thing from weeks ago just the other day and others have had similar spells of adding nothing of value to the discussion.

A good point and i agree.

I think what frustrates and annoys a lot of people is when some of those "alternative views" aren't exactly what you would define as views. A number of those views appear to enjoy twisting the truth to suit whatever agenda suits their needs, more often than not it's an attempt to undermine the original posters opinion rather than present an alternative one.

Add to it that some then feel the need to repeat the same "view" for over a week and it gets a bit tiring and monotonous.

I understand that, but it is also a bit tiresome to see threads with thousands of posts when the actual "valid" information amounts to the sum zero. If it is OK to have thousands of posts of speculation surely it is OK to
have a few alternative points of view even if those points too are repetitive?

Yes it is if they are actually view points and not just attempts to slag off someone. It would be nice to see some of the alternative views accept that other people may have other views rather than dismiss them out of hand and then when they aren't getting the reaction they're after resort to insults.

I think it's just a little frustration given what's gone on recently as I also misread it at first but then read it again and got your point and I agree ;) Anyway apologies for those on a phone as this is a TL;DR post but I'm a fast typist so just ignore it if you can't be arsed to spend a minute or 2 reading it.

As I've said elswhere the thread was called Takeover RUMOURS and this is a forum for discussion so I'm quite happy for anyone to say any old shite, whether it's genuinely passed on in good faith or speculated (as long as they make it clear) or even just a rumour they've heared themselves as I can make up my own mind. The blatant continuous bullshitters will soon be found out but there's been a few posters passed on info on and many appreciate that. You've also had posters who said they've had something to pass on but won't share it as they've seen what happens yet why is it some won't accept that people can get info that may not be public?

There's no denying Reiver said it's done and that's his opinion based on what he's been told and shown. He'd even predicted tomescales but it didn't happen yet some took this as fact and kept regurgitating this days and weeks after. However the BBC, ALS, Roker Report, Nick Barnes and other sources have all said stuff also and this adds to the disappointment and frustration but a lot was hoyed Reiver's way.

The problem is when posters like @Mrjardine, @PhilSAFC and @The Rat blatantly troll and then try to play all innocent about it when other posters then start to lose their patience with them. You also get the usual few posters backing up the trolling with posts or likes and sometimes even the bullying card is pulled out FFS  You can't deny it's the minority who have acted this way as I would say it's been no more than a handful of posters spoiling it for the majority of 100's if not 1,000's as this will include shit loads of lurkers who may post very little or nowt at all. It got to the point where the 2 threads were f***ing shite at times and even now reading this particular thread I see @Mrjardine has been bitching on about Reiver yet again as most of his posts are about or directed at him. Fuck me man, how pathetic is that as it's a clear obsession as he's bleating on about it wherever he can and Reiver has been banned how long now?

I've modded forums and even ran my own years ago and appreciate what the mods do here but I'd dare say I could pick a handful of members posts to remove and it would take away 90% of the shite we've seen on here. If I ask you to take off you mod hat and disregard whatever you think of Reiver, you've got to agree as a normal board member there were times when the trolling added fuck all to the thread and if anything took away from it and the ultimately the forum? So fuck if Reiver has been embellishing a little (he's even admitted this and I'm not denying he's a knob at times either) but as I've said many posters will appreciate what he (and others) have shared and they can then make their own judgement on it. It's clear a few posters obviously don't like the bloke and try to have a go whenever they can and it got a but repetitive numerous times.

It even got to the point where the info @Grumpy Old Man was passing info on and then the trolling then got directed at him  You've no doubt seen what's been said elsewhere about it all, the bit tit for tat between the 2 forums and members and even you and Reiver ;) though this forum will stil thrive regardless. However there's no denying many members who aren't keen on the shite we've seen in recent weeks have taken the time to go over to not606 and this place has missed out a little. The ones causing the friction will no doubt pull the same shit whenever they can the next time and for me this just spoils the forum. It's great on here as the rules are relaxed but here's hoping that on certain occasions it's nipped in the bud and the threads can thrive
So having reservations over someone’s claims is now classed as trolling? Really?

I made one post regarding my reservations which then prompted replies (some abusive. Before you go down bullying route I couldn’t care less about abuse from faceless nobodies on internet by the way) which then in turn prompted further replies from me. That’s the nature of a forum I’m afraid. You don’t seem to believe those being abusive are trolling either. Strange that.

Now if reiver had been shown to be correct in what he’d claimed (he really hasn’t though) then I’m sure you and many others would’ve been tagging me and gloating about how wrong I was to have any doubts. Again this wouldn’t have been trolling no? But if I respond by pointing out that I had a point in expressing my doubts then that would be trolling yes?

It seems you (and others) want it all one way (your way) and are incapable of seeing anyone else’s point of view.

For all I can’t fathom how grown men can be so easily taken in by what’s been said on here I do get that some will believe anything that gives them a little comfort regardless of its reliability. Personally I live in the real world and don’t need smoke blown up my arse. I have my own opinion and take on things which is based on what I see rather than what I hope.

think a few here need to chill out and remember its just an internet message board
With real people posting their opinions. Unless you're a robot?
Let's hope that "what I think is best for the club" doesn't translate as him staying on being a condition of the deal.

If he fucks this up there'll be more spit dummies than a Disney Store sees in its lifetime.
We could miss a great opportunity for this club, but aye, you take the piss out of the fans if they get upset if it doesn't happen.

What about those who are looking for a bit of fun? Are we still getting a monorail?

Think this would carry more weight if those posters you believe are trolling didn't have valid points.

Rat & Jardine often speak valid opinions that often become reality. The problem being they don't tow the party line nor take care of how they say it.

This place would be very boring if everyone just patting each other on the back saying how great we are and how we are going to be world-beaters.

I don't want to get drawn into it in detail and I've just ignored what MrJardine has said as we'll just see what he and other posters do in the future. I'm all for debate but if you can't agree that they've trolled at some point (even subtly that some may not notice) then that's your opinion.

To add to that, before this takeover shite started they seemed to get involved in the same kind of 'debates' over other subjects shows it's not just a one off and given it was Reiver (who himself has been a knob in the past) it was a given if anything.

Now back to the monorail ;)

I think that’s a good point m8, unfortunately I think the three mackemx named are definitely as he described them, they’re not trying to give the balance they’re tried to elicit discord and negative emotions in the board. As to why, we’ll theres a few good theories out there as to their footballing allegiances, personally I just think there’s a need in them to do this, I’m sure a psychologist could tell us why, but it’s not f***ing normal imho.

I haven't read every thread but in my opinion, concerns raised have been valid ones. The ITKs have got off quite lightly in my opinion and seem to have screamed like a Premier League footballer at the mere whif of a tackle.
