And I quite clearly stated I didn’t believe him. Nothing to do with point scoring.

The problem is anyone who dared to suggest they doubted his claims were met with abuse.

Now it’s pretty much shown that he was wrong in pretty much everything he claimed why shouldn’t I point out to those who got fired into me that I had a point.

If they don’t like that then fuck them.
 

Thinking back on the Roker Rapport podcast where they reported on it being a done deal, what an embarrassment. I do like the podcast and frequently visit the website, but they’ve lost a lot of credibility in my opinion.

People are giving Reiver stick, he’s just passing along what he’s been told. The RR put out a click bait podcast at one of the biggest times in the clubs history, I’ll be cutting back on tuning it going forward..

Charlie Adam was obviously wrong but I don’t wriggle and squirm if that’s the case.

I’m not sure why you keep bringing the first part up as all you’re doing is pricing me right. There was literally not a scrap of takeover talk when I mentioned this, not even a snippet in newspaper. Within weeks there were a few interested parties and eventually takeover happened.

The difference being I don’t need to embellish and go over and over and over things to try and make myself appear to know more than I do.

A few points to add to bring some balance to this:

- Reiver posted information he received in good faith. Things can change, that's life, that's not to say Reiver's info was wrong at the time. He's never struck me as a WUM;

- There are posters on here who know Reiver personally, they've vouched for him, which would lead you to think he wasn't telling lies, why would he?

- Overall I found the thread entertaining, whether right or wrong, it was exciting to get regular updates. Let's hope everything's positive, they're ironing out the finer details and it will all be successfully concluded within the next two weeks.

This ^ he was wrong in some parts but the takeover is still obviously going on just not as close as what he said, but that doesn’t mean it’s not done. Mind you saying that reading that 606 forum he seems to love himself on there:)

I don’t see how things can change from being absolutely done weeks ago to not being close to being done weeks later.

Reiver is and embellisher and exaggerator and I have given examples of where he has done this in past. Whatever info he was given (if he was given any at all) I’d wager he had spun it to make it sound far more enterprising than it really was.

I’d have been excited had I believed their to be any truth in his ramblings but I just found all the creeping and crawling round him asking for PMs etc to be really cringey tbh. I’m pretty sure one or two will look back a little embarrassed by it now.

It's only the second time I've mentioned it. The point I'm making is that it's easy to point the finger and call someone a bullshitter. To be totally honest I had no reason not to believe you when you posted it. Infact I'm not even accusing you of lying now. If you're right, wrong, or even full of shite it wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't let something someone who I've never met posted on the internet do that. The way I look at is the board needs things like that, it's what makes it interesting. This place isn't real life. If it was someone spouting off in the pub or at work then fair enough call them out, but on here take it or leave it for me.
 
Like ive posted before, just wait till donald tweets the latest, there are alot of things to sort out with a takeover, see where we are in a couple of weeks...

Remember quinns drumville consortium, we found out in the april and was complete in the july...

FWIW, reiver and other posters are only posting what they have been told, takeovers like this and what is at stake, can change from day to day....

Because things might actually be done mate, there may be a hold up on confirming the deal for whatever reason. For all we know a key legal eagle or someone acting on behalf of one of the parties could be on holiday, these things are never simple. Donald seems confident, evidently he can't say too much.

It’s also easy to come on here and make something up.
It doesn’t bother me either, this place is a place for debate and opinions, I have given mine consistently on this.
If reiver had been right I’d have been tagged right left and centre with clever little comments and I’d have had no problem with that.
Given my reservations now look to have been correct surely I can point out to those who were tucking into me that I had a point.

If it’s done then it’s done, not around the 50/50 mark as Donald has said.

It’s pretty clear that this deal wasn’t done when it was claimed. That’s not to say it won’t happen but all this talk of done deals and awaiting EFL clearance seem to be way wide of mark.

It was absolutely ridiculous & a bit magish. People were sticking up for them saying they must have been told by the club it was done. 2 weeks later SD tells us it's anything but done. I have absolutely no idea what they were playing at.

He hasn't said its around 50/50 man. Someone put on Facebook that it was only 50/50 and in his reply Donald said its more than that. Someone then replied saying it's not happening then and Donald replied saying "no, not at all, don't be so negative". Everyone who went to the talk in suggested he looked and sounded very positive, it's just some people on here getting info second hand who seem worried
