Sarah Taylor retired due to anxiety

Sussex where taking a serious look at her at one point but not long after that her anxiety started to real take a hold, she was certainly one who had a chance of mixing with the men at county level

Absolute bullshit from Gilchrist. Complete and utter virtue signalling, she’s never kept consistently to 85+ mph bowlers so that comparison can’t be made.

Gilchrist, the best wicketkeeper/batsman (97 tests/287 ODIs)of his generation is wrong on this one clearly as some bloke on a message board (with an agenda against women in sport) who never played beyond NEPL, has spoken

This reminds me of the time some fat bastard from Shiney told me Henderson was shit and we’d had Liverpools pants down

Are you suggesting you can’t have an opinion if you’ve never played at the top level

Loving the fact the sexism is ruling people’s thoughts on cricket on here.

Not!

All equal.

But equality isn’t part of modern lads agendas.

Prehistoric maybe.

Irony. Truth.

not really - no woman bowls over 80 mph so to suggest Sarah Taylor isn't the best in the world (or one of the best across the genders) because she hasn't 'consistently faced 85mph bowling' is typical of that misogynist
I deplore sexism. Or any other kind of negativity against race, creed or religion.

Some people on here need to be called out on it.

How can you say someone is the best at something if they don’t face the same challenges as someone else?

No doubting she was a great player at the women’s level, but all this talk of being a county player in the men’s game is going way over the top.

Brandon hates women shocker

Ok mate

THAT misogynist

What’s actually funnier though, is the rest of your post - the fact she doesn’t EVER face bowling quicker than about 60mph, is pretty conclusive and comprehensive in determining that she can’t possibly be as good as lads who face upwards of 90mph - yet you’re trying to make out somehow that can’t be true. At the risk of coming across all Johnson -:lol::lol::lol:

IN FACT, I was wrong - the FUNNIEST bit about it all, is that you can’t possibly find any fault with the facts I’ve provided, you cannot in any way prove I’m wrong and there’s nothing at all out there to prove Taylor was actually any good at cricket on a level with blokes.

So all you’re left with is to throw your favourite insult. I actually feel embarrassed for you. *No smiley necessary*

I believe everyone should have an opinion, not matter how skewed this opinion may be by an existing agenda or how unqualified they are to give one

Here is mine: Sarah Taylor is the best female wk ever. Her glove work and abilty to move her feet quickly whilst remaining balanced is far beyond anything Ive seen at club level

Is she the best in the world? No idea, Ive not seen enough of other keepers. Could she have kept in the mens game? Her technique looks good enough but it would have been a new challenge. Standing back with a wobbling ball would have took a lot of work.
In all likelihood, her batting would have excluded that

With all that in mind, we should really be celebrating a tremendous career and not trying to score some anti pc/virtue signalling points. As me ewld nana used to say, If you can’t say anything nice...........

In the same way people can refer to a boxer as being the best pound for pound.

Or in football where people play in different leagues someone still wins the balon d'or?

Not that I'm saying Taylor is the best in the world as I've barely seen her play.

Point of order, pretty much all the international seamers are above 70mph. Some of them are high 70s with the odd ball touching 80+

From what I’ve seen it’s more the odd ball hits early seventies with the opening bowlers bowling consistently around 67-70.

Not having a go, but I’d love to see an example of a women’s seamer hitting 80mph.
