I was introduced to the Young Ones on here and caught up on some episodes. Was also introduced to the masterpiece that is Father Ted by you fuckers. I've enjoyed both immensely. My wife couldn't get into them. Doesn't get Brit humor.

I played American Football since I was a kid until high school. Running back prior to high school, and full back in high school. I was the short-yardage powerhouse that no-one could stop. I also played some basketball, but stopped shortly after I started high school. I was center for most of my youth and played well with my back to the basket, however, when I got to high school I wasn't tall enough to play center (we had some f***ing trees at our high school) so they put in as power forward and I never adjusted to playing facing the basket. Besides, I enjoyed playing American football more. I was never a jock, though. All my friends were the skateboard "outcasts". Same group of friends that I still have today. Bunch of knuckleheads but I would give my life for any of them.
In my experience, boarders are a bit like hockey goalies or rock band drummers, fecking crackers. ( I’ve still got me board in me garage )

I’m going down quite early. Got some family business to attend to then meeting up with other family members who support Bolton. Having a drink in the town then taxis over to the ground. Hope our lads perform on and off the pitch.
I’ve been telling our Oscar who is now eleven all about our famous club since the year dot, tomorrow will be his first time seing us, but alas he supports Bolton.
Won’t forget that you offered to help out with tickets. Thanks.
No bother, always glad to help out if I can, you in our end?
Good fans Bolton and always good to meet up with family but hope they are gutted tomorrow night.

Can’t go graft in the morning :(

Reminds me of going to leets aged 9/10 in 1967 with my big Easington cousin staying with us in Wakey. I “ thought” I was a Leets fan ( all at school were) until I went into the ground & I said to him, “ everyone sounds like you & my mam & dad”.
I’d found my home :)
Their record crowd that neet
Seen that many times over the years. Oscars granda passed away last year. He was a Manchester red. He was my brother in law. I went to loads of games with him when we were younger around Lancs and Yorks. He travelled with United too but he fell for us. Our away support got to him. We impressed at just about every club over there, including OT.

Yes upper tier. I’m not one for singing these days but hope I’m singing tomorrow.

You're not wrong, though. I own up to it. I was an even bigger knucklehead when I was younger. Everyone knew that all they had to say was "I dare you" and I would do it. I never turned down a dare. Ended up with many a broken bones because of it, but it is what it is. There'd be some scary ass hill and my friends would I say, "I dare you to skate down that hill." And there I was skating down the hill. We'd be in a bar and my friends would find the hottest looking girl and say, "I dare you to talk to her". And there I was. I would sometimes get told to fuck off but more often than not, they'd buy me a drink just for fun. I got more in trouble than I care to remember. Once I got married to the woman of my dreams, I calmed down a bit (but just a bit).

Same here. She’s the calming influence I needed. I’d be dead or in jail if it wasn’t for my best mate.

I love hearing that. I've had a crush on my wife since we were kids (her mom and my mom are really good friends) but she never showed interest. We didn't start dating until we were in college and I had to pinch myself for the first few months because I couldn't believe that she was interested in me. She's my best friend and my rock. She's the very best of me.

Alright, enough of the sappy shit. Sorry.

No apologies required. We’ve both been very fortunate.
