Extending the corners Eastwards, dropping the first 10 rows or so and creating a new small steeper lower section (safe standing?) with the new third tier extending round from the Premier like at the North Stand to more than make up for the lost seats - plus a new block East and West due to the extended length.

I think you're wrong about the pitch size.....Sol pitch is 105m x 68m with additional space with the track around the pitch

According to wiki

NFL pitches are 109m which includes the end zones x 48m

The extra 2m at each end could be accommodated

Oh - maybe then, but still tight, don't know if its safe to have end zone up hard against the boards, think it needs a little space beyond

The sol is fifa standard and that includes the access track around the pitch for evacuation and ambulance access..it will be big enough as there is aso 2-3 metres of grass at each end beyond the goal line!
