I bet at least 10 percent of the mags fans that sing about Adam Johnson and his wring ways are wrong uns themselves
Would that be the same Adam Johnson that started off at Newcastle as a schoolboy, obviously picked up his bad habits whilst there. I remember when he was about to sign for us, they insisted he was a Geordie, strange how they’re keen to ignore all that following his conviction.

It looks like it already has tbh, let the good times roll!:D

How to people feel about extending the stadium and adding a roof? A lot of people think 42,000 was big enough and the first extension was a mistake

They can extend it if they want. Let's be honest, money is no object to these lads and it doesn't affect FFP so the capital cost wouldn't harm us. Not sure how much it would cost but I know it's been said that it would work out fairly cheap due to the design of the stadium. Even with cheap deals (which I think we should largely avoid other than for kids) of course we wouldn't get anywhere near to selling it out but personally I'm not precious about what % of the ground we sell.

The benefit would be for other events. If there's a concert at £50 a head the extra 15000 tickets (if it's a big act that can sell that number) that would be an extra £750k. I realise that not all of that would go to the club of course but it would still be a decent boost. If they can add boxing, NFL or whatever (I know some think it won't happen but you never know) then you could get a canny bit extra revenue which would eventually pay for the extension even without Sunderland fans filling the ground. So I certainly don't have any issue with it, it's not really necessary but if it's something they want to do then they can crack on as far as I'm concerned

To be fair GG it would look and feel pretty shit if it was more empty by % on matchdays, there will be many other ways round FFP and these lot will know

Maybe a bit, but as long as the main bowl is packed I wouldn't massively notice tbh. Then you balance it against the money it can bring into the club for big events and, crucially for me, the extra money that would bring into the city if more big events could be staged there and I think it would be worth it. The city needs all the money it can get and you can see just how big the boost is when a decent sized concert is staged here, more events and bigger events would be great for the city
