I wish people would stop with the Roy Keane crack ,different times and a different man .

When he came here he was a superstar who when spoke everyone listened, probs the greatest captain in all of our lifetimes for the biggest and most successful club in a generation .
Fast forward to now and he’s seen as an old man who talks a load of shite who young players couldn’t give a fuck about as they can’t remember him playing anyway .

That ship ,although a successful one at the time has sailed .He’d be a disaster second time round as the one thing he had going for him which was his aura has gone .

Coming back if Ross doesn't pull his finger out apparently!

The ones who really won't post again will probably just stop. We've had many who threaten to flounce off - Carty used to do it twice a week.
Just my opinion but I think he’s cheesed off at this current ban at the moment and that is understandable as he’s in a position where he could maybe give info on what may happen re future plans at the club.
He hasnt indicated to me he will stop posting and I hope he is back soon.

This is Reiver's final contribution to this, and possibly any other, thread.

Reiver has asked me to thank all the decent people who appreciate the information and post this message.

"Now that there's a 'conclusion' it's a good time to stop posting. The other information about the 'kick in the teeth', new owners' plans, the future of Ross and the replacements being considered will come out in time without my contribution. It's a shame that some posters can be vindictive and bitter without any good reason. The only common denominator seems to be a less than enthusiastic outlook on Sunderland. We have a bright future to look forward to and it's time for everyone to draw a line on the past. Haway the lads!"

For what it's worth, I can't disagree with a word of that. In the course of this and other threads, I've had my honesty, integrity and professional competence questioned. Like Reiver, I'm questioning the point of sharing anything at all because of the grief that comes with it.
Don’t stop posting please. I rely on you for your assessment of all financial goings on. I don’t understand all the details, but trust your conclusions.

Is that your opinion??

Was told today they want to extend the stadium so they can have NFL games at the sol but I thought they only played on AstroTurf?
Nah, the NFL is heavily tied in with Wembley and especially with Spurs whose ground was built with hosting both football and NFL games in mind - NFL pitch that's directly under the retractable footy pitch, changing rooms that are able to cater for the huge NFL squads and staff. If more games come to the UK they're almost certain to be at Spurs new ground.

Yes. Not sure when.

Not doubting what you've heard but if they want their own person in I'm not sure why they'd delay at all. Can't see what benefit keeping Ross for a few more games/ months would do if they're certain they want someone else, and they'd need to act by January you'd think because I imagine they'd want any money we can spend to be spent by the person they want in long term

Over the years he’s had numerous log-ins, and been banned multiple times, there is no way that he won’t return.
