Takeover Rumours

That's down to Bob Murray more than these owners - we were untouched previously because we were in the Championship and because the debt was huge (Short took far too long to accept he was going to have to bite the bullet on that)

Inadvertently the best thing that could have happened is us not going up last year!

That's ridiculous. It seems to me like you just simply don't want to give them credit for anything.

Big sam might be good as a director of football. You need contacts and he has plenty of them. Which we surely need if we are to progress.

I liked Allardyce as a manager but does everyone forget why he left his job as England manager?

Do you really think he’d make a good Director ?

It's not - they deserve credit for drumming up support and improving revenue streams

But if you think this new lot aren't primarily interested in us because of the infrastructure that preceded SD and co. you're mad

I'm pretty positive these days on here but sometimes more of a miserable **** outside of this forum so fuck knows what they're like  I know I'm not the only one as I used to see Farsebook/Tw@tter posts from people saying life is great when in reality it's f***ing not so I don't bother looking on there any more. This place however can be an addiction at times :lol:

I see the Forum Notice at the top says the SMB search function will be down for next 24 hours due to overloading from 100's of people trying to use it at the same time!:lol:

Agree to an extent but losing a play off final to a goal with the last kick is pretty close to achieving their objective on the field too.

The margin for error is so thin in football.

It's not like they sorted the finances but we finished 15th.
And, and this is a big AND, if we had not lost in play-offs with the last kick then we may never have been in the situation regarding this takeover! If we had gone up, we had no money to compete in the Championship!

Just be thankful for small mercies, get behind the team the manager and the club, and enjoy the journey.......

I don’t have an agenda. I believe they got this football club for a song and yes, have done some work around cutting costs. I have never been a fan of them, from getting supporters in to replace the seats to the twitter presence, the denigration of agents via the podcasts, the undermining of the manager with the 100 point malarkey, the different accounts of the money that was used to purchase the club, the direct criticism of our fans following defeat at Wembley when we had 3-4K unsold tickets, the complete and utter mishandling of the Josh Maja situation and so on. That isn’t an agenda, that is just my take from their time at the club. I accept other people see things differently and if having them here means that we move on with what look to be serious investors, then fair enough. What I have never been able to accept is the complete disregard on this board for an alternative view to their presence.

It should also be noted that Donald has carried out many differing aspects of genuine human kindness during his time here and the people he has affected during that will be forever grateful. I completely understand and respect that.

None of it is saying he is a bad man, he isn’t. But at the same time, I don’t want him running this place.
Great summary of SD, not a bad person in fact he has a good heart but ultimately he is an insurance salesman running a football club!

Short bought safc from drumaville.

Drumaville bought safc from bob Murray.

The debt wasn’t large when Murray owned safc.

Think you will find your embarrassing everything you say is just rubbish you need to log off. First you say I slated BSA and know you realise your wrong you just keep coming back with more rubbish, I am a manager now all be it not professional but have my preferred style of play, if I was manager of safc I would have my preferred style of play. This argument of yours has literally nothing to do with running a football club
:lol: you just toss words together.

Well yes as they actually scored a goal from open play. They gifted us ours

We were discussing how the game was panning out, rather than how we ended up at 1-1. We also almost went 2 up through Leadbitter. You'd think we were getting trounced the way some go on.
