Guha was on commentary for the Smith dismissal. Must’ve took her 15 seconds to actually confirm he’d been given out. Started prattling on about Smith missing a ball but no idea whether it had hit the pad in line or whatever. Someone needs to tell her commentary is about DESCRIBING what is happening to the listener.

No doubt the accusations will follow, but listen to it on BBC Sounds or the App first and make your own mind up, horrific piece of commentary, had to work it out from the crowd noise - must’ve thought she was on the telly.

She did the same when Leach chopped on in first innings. It took Tufnell to point out that he was out. I can’t listen to her inane giggling nonsense anymore.
