I don't think that matters here - they would ask 'what's wrong with the club and the city?', 'Is there any reason they can't do a Man City?' 'We'd make these changes, what do you think?'. He can tell them about issues that the PR machine may be burying. I don't think it edges him any closer to a return.
Can I ask, has the deal actually gone through yet?
He was ok end of story, he did no more than the rest of the managers that managed to get the great escape at the end of the seasonMust admit though, what you like best is open to interpretation, but 4 defeats in the second half of the season, form in the top half, wins against good sides, building a side after a transfer window that actually seemed like the signings had been bought for a purpose and performed well; regardless of how it ended and how the players did without him, he was impressive here.

Irrespective of a return can anyone name a better adviser to the new people ...
... the responses will be interesting.
Yes.
Not many I can think of. He's managed at almost every level of English football.
Out of all the years of various captains rearranging the deckchairs on the SAFC Titanic (the slowest sinking ship ever) that was my favourite. I honestly thought he would be able to keep us floating for a year or two. Alas old mother fortune had other ideas. She rubbed her crusty old stinking mott in our faces and he went on to pastures new leaving us with captain dullard and a ticket to Davy Jones locker.Well each to their own i suppose, but under his management we relegated newcastle, that's all that needs saying.
I thought it was mind, iv never seen a safc side create as many chances as we did under him, he got the best out of what he had.Are you winding me up the best football you have seen! People are blinded by the results v Chelsea and Everton , the football wasn’t very good
I'll be honest, the way he left did leave a sour taste, but that second half of the season we weren't relegation form, we were top half form. Now we are where we are you'd have to be pragmatic; who is likely to be better, the vastly experienced Allardyce who did well here before and has managed England (albeit once), or Jack Ross who we all hope will become good but might not. For me, if we're broke as fuck, we go for someone like Ross and we hope. If we've got money and can afford it we go for someone more like Allardyce. He's obviously a PL standard manager, the only down side is the question marks over his character, but with the likes of Donald and Methven about maybe he couldn't pull the wool over anyone's eyes. I can definitely see why some wouldn't want him mind, but what a statement of intent it would be if we could attract himAs I remember it the optimism for the new season was very high, we had momentum and it felt like we were making a break away from the relegation battles, then he left...
Add to that he's both managed and played here which is just as important if the new owners want to get a feel for the fans and the area imo.Not many I can think of. He's managed at almost every level of English football.

Big Sam isn’t involved, it’s the sun end of story

Yes.
If we are plotting a course for the future of the club under billionaire owners I wouldn't want them being advised by some dodgy hoofball specialist whose claim to fame is keeping clubs up by the skin of their teeth and getting binned one game into his only real top level job for not being on the take. His agent mates can stay the fuck out of our club too, they've already had a hand in robbing us once.
