did they though? what did their squad cost? apparently in the 2018 season it was about 70m, and they didnt spend much the following season when they got promoted. the total of all purchases they made in the 5 years previous to getting back up is about 170m (transfermarkt), and they'll have sold a decent amount to balance that out. 70-80m sounds about right.

I live in the North West surrounded mainly by Liverpool, Everton and Man U fans. And a smattering of Leeds, Man City,
Banter aside most consider us a big club, albeit underachievers,
We were the biggest club in the country once upon a time.
Hopefully we get another crack at it.
