Even the most simpleton Mag coming on SMB for the first time would know if the takeover had been announced just by looking at the last few posts of this thread. Plus when it happens the thread will either change title or a new thread will appear. Why not just admit you wanted to be funny instead of claiming it was a genuine question? ;):lol:

Seeing as this is currently the last post in this thread, has it happened, are we gid rich yet?

He doesn't - he is employed by Sunderland Association Football Club Ltd, and that is unaffected by any change in the shareholders in that company.

FWIW I think it will be announced Wednesday, clear back page after the internationals have finished and limited news until the weekend fixtures.

I didnā€™t even know they were owned by some corporation or whatever it is until a few weeks ago.

    Yes it's happening and the final i's have all been dotted .... ... just waiting for the T's to be crossed. I've been told Friday unless the lawyers string it out.

    I've been told, from two different sources, that the prep for a PR event on Friday, has been started. That's not to say something won't be announced before that. If, as I'm being told, everything is done then its just a bit of 'snagging' to do.
    Whatever the case the exact moment is irrelevant and we're entering a brave new world where we should all believe and pull together as we used to do back in the day. Yes we were naive in those pre-social media days but it felt like we all always wanted the best for our club.

I was after an update on the thread - it was a touch tongue in cheek but clearly the mood of the thread has moved on and every fucker's now getting angsty. In a round about way at least I've gotten my answer.
