4th Ashes Test - Old Trafford

We have two bad habits. Losing wickets after session starts and losing wickets to the new ball. Both will bite us on the arse today. Think we need to promote Leach up to 9 today though, he’s much more likely than archer and broad

I was thinking about Leach earlier - he certainly seems to have the better technique for this scenario.

Glad I am not the captain.

Been a good effort. Just wondering if we lose when the transformation from battling hard (which we are clearly doing) to bottling it and being spineless will happen.

What time were we off for bad light on other days? Does anyone know?

Oh give up

Not this again

Which wickets in this innings were “bottling it” and “spineless”

Name them.

I can’t see the umpires bringing them off for bad light on the last day of a test. Would get so much stick if they did - very rarely does it happen, would need extreme circumstances like an impending thunder storm

They don’t have a chouce

They took a reading earlier in the test and as soon as it hits that they go off
Played til 7 last night

Floodlights were on from about 2.30

I’ve criticised Buttler a lot, deservedly, but it’s a good effort so far

Christ that’s far too late then

New ball will end this
