If you were a businessman would you be spending millions on a football club now or wait a couple of months when the £ and the dollar are virtually 1:1?

The deal is already done, its just the timing of the announcement which the owners/club are tying up, nothing to do with billionaires buying a club with their loose change found in the golf pants.
Absolutely ridiculous. As if they’re sat there thinking ‘ let’s buy Sunderland quick in case Corbyn gets in’

To be fair, Corbyn would knock down the sol and bring back them mines, best get it sorted quick 😉

Has this delay got anything to do with the goings on in Parliament this week? Seems a bit coincidental that they fly across to conclude the deal Thursday/Friday and on Wednesday night the chances of exiting the EU on the 31st October all but died! I mean if I was a U.S Republican businessman I could see investment in the UK as a good investment in a post Brexit UK when you will see closer trading relationships between the UK and US. If the UK remains locked in Brexit paralysis for the next 5 years due to Corbyn and his cronies that investment is no longer as attractive.

How fitting a song! Took 2 mins to change the words :lol:

I thought winning things were only fairy tales
Meant for other teams, but not for us
The Mags were gonna get bought
That's the way it seemed
Dissapointment haunted all my dreams

Then I saw his posts, now I'm a b'Reiver
Not a trace, of doubt in my mind
I'm a Mackem, I'm a b'Reiver
I couldn't ignore him if I tried

Akin to being with a bird sporting black stockings, only to be bitterly disappointed at the business end when you discover they are tights.
