Takeover Rumours

Hang on. It's not either now OR January. Maybe the club/ALS/RR press-poop that Ross is staying is just a way of calming speculation about the big appointments? Plenty of time to get them right, and frankly the Yanks coming in all-guns-blazing might not be the most effective way of building foundations.
I strongly suspect Ross won't be here long in any case, and his only slim chance of survival is to have us six points clear at the top by December. If not, a new man will have a few weeks to assess and improve the squad to make sure we go up. Next season is a different matter.

I wonder how Ross feels about the speculation as to whether he is staying or going - especially about the elation shown by a significant number of posters in regards to his proposed departure. Its hardly going to motivate him is it, and he wasn't exactly the most motivated person already.

Only played well against Portsmouth. Played well against Burnley but the game was meaningless. Dobson looks average at best and can't get a start. All of our signings are shit apart from Willis whom is marginally better than what we have but is part of a defence that can't keep a clean sheet. McNulty isnt doing great, Grigg looks like he's never played up front in league one before and Wyke looks to have slightly improved but still isn't really scoring. Our best player is always at 50/50 fitness and the club itself refers to one of our league one quality players as 'The King'.

Everything is ok, though.
We were shite against Portsmouth until we scored. Woeful.

The work and preparation to put things right or wanting to run the club a different way starts on day 1, just like CM & SD stated when they moved in...

New owners always want to do things their way.
When Donald came in the club needed big changes. Don't think there'll be any immediate changes with the new owners. If anything with Donald staying on it sounds like they're happy with things the way things are being run.

He’s probs standing now in his kitchen with his hands in his pockets ,pouting looking out the window watching the birds eating the fat-balls.

Well they say an appointment with a firing squad tends to concentrate the mind! ;) It's not like he has a long, lucrative contract to keep him warm in the icy breeze of criticism (like Rodders:evil:) In fact I think a thick skin is a prime requirement for a footy manager, but he has to up his game. If he takes us to an easy promotion, he will get a nice 'thank you'. And if he doesn't his contract will be paid up before the end of the season as a 'hired gun' completes the task.
