Nah....they were told there was 3 lasses for every lad there. :D

I knew a lad lived down there was a massive Sunderland fan, even though his dad was a mag. Apparently his Uncle was from Jarrow and he kept asking the kid who he supported, when the kid answered Newcastle he used to give him a little dig and point out he should be supporting Sunderland - eventually he started saying Sunderland and ended up a proper fan (pavlovian).

Sunderland docks closed? last time I checked, it's still open and about to receive a lot of investment.
Do you not think he might mean the lack of work and loss of jobs due to decline of mining and shipbuilding?

It could make them look a bit daft extending to 63,000 while in the third division. It could however be the best time to do it disruption wise as any closures of parts of the ground wouldn’t affect us as we could still close parts and then reopen the concourse. If we were filling the ground in the top flight it might be a bit harder, although I don’t remember that much disruption last time they extended. It would certainly be a signal of intention doing it now!

I thought extending the sol was crazy talk, however If they’re as savvy as they’re reported to be then they aren’t going to just want it for football. With the development opportunities surrounding the site it’s not hard to see why they came sniffing round. Having the biggest arena in the region and facilities in the immediate area to cater for large numbers of visitors, it should make us first choice for massive events. That rugby thing in mag land allegedly made 20 odd million for the local economy, we need to be stealing this type of shit from the fuckers

Bigger commercial income is key because of FFP. They simply must find a way of making us more money.
Haway they are billionaires man. They would have someone to carry their laptop when they were on the bus.

Yeah but they had an ironed shirt on. I reckon it was them.
