The only thing left is the announcement that it's all done.
Some nutcase, on the internet, is claiming it's the day the takeover is completed and announced![]()

I don’t know ..Peterborough where canny going forwardNo worse than Saturday
Don't think it does?We can call it that if we jolly well want.
The D in D-Day doesnt actually stand for anything, I believe. Im sure some military historian on here will come along and say Im wrong mind.
It doesn't stand for anything. Just like H-Hour.Don't think it does?
Well said son !This 1000%^ It makes my heart sink when I see the quality of personnel involved with the club, not just on the pitch. I was watching STID in the middle of the night (I'll Sleep when I'm Dead!) and when the lad was announcing Grayson's sacking, he gabbled like a goose. PR on a world stage needs diction, clarity and a strong Mackem accent! They've let BBC Newcastle take the piss for decades. I seriously doubt the capabilities of the stewards to control an incident. Everything around the stadium needs an upgrade including the catering/drinking. How can you get that massive crowd of CUSTOMERS all in one place and then can't wait to usher them off the premises. It's mad! So much could be done without laying a brick.
I hope the American service ethos is front and centre with the new regime.
If this happens on Friday then @Reiver should be granted the freedom of the City of Sunderland.
We can call it that if we jolly well want.

I was always told it stood for deliveranceWe can call it that if we jolly well want.

The point is the bigger picture, that would be just the start, they have said that a company that has more than 250 employees has to give shares to the workers. I’m sure our rich owner will like that after splashing £300 million. Then there would be exchange controls, that could thwart our policy of spending. I like every other Sunderland fan want this takeover to happen, I’m just pointing out how corbyn could knack it for us.Second home some people can barely afford one
Wasn't it because it was D day we invaded Normandy? We can call it that if we jolly well want.

Two incumbents, one of them has already left.If this happens and the two or three current incumbents fuck off with their barras full, will they be paying the parachute money back into the club?
Well said son !

Definitely a positive. Going forward, the Lasses have to be a big part of this. They were knackered when the club cut them adrift, and then dumped on by the FA. For a relatively small amount of money and a bit of support, they could be a force in the women's game again. If the SoL was set up to raise revenue through catering, the club could stage Lasses games there and charge £2 a head and £1 for kids, and I bet thousands would show up. Oh, and a pre-emptive Fuck Off to the dinosoars who don't like the women's game....it is part of the future.
Who?Two incumbents, one of them has already left.
Just do what I'm doing and checking @Reiver posts, he is the lad with itk banter.
I hope Dell is ready this and more importantly believes itThere are so many caveats to that it's meaningless. Under Labour's proposals, worker shares couldn't be bought or sold, have to be administered by an external fund, and any dividends are restricted to £500/employee (with any surplus going to the government). It's essentially an idea to give workers a bonus if their company declared a dividend. Given that the club need to clear about £200m in accumulated losses before it can even think about that, and that even then, it's up to the directors whether or not to declare one (and most profitable football clubs don't) in any case. It certainly doesn't bring any right to worker participation on the board.
Sadly my past ITK history has been almost exclusively to do with Ashley and Newcastle, thanks to someone I met through the Sheikh I worked for.
This current Itk-ness is by two coincidences and a friend who's close to the club.
The first source is from an ex-employer, Italian millionaire, who first tipped me off that it was 'an open secret' in the States where he was a fortnight back.
He's very well connected o a higher degree than anyone I've previously worked for..
The second source was someone from whom I turned down a job offer 30 minutes ago. He's a close friend of both Fuhrman and Phelan so I'd have had a constant solid gold information.
It's a real shame tbh but I can't just take a job offer for the latest gossip
But I still have a mate, of decades, who's very close to the hierarchy at the club so I'll post whatever he gives me permission to do.
Once this takeover is all over I'd like to hang my gloves up though tbh, this has been exhausting at a time when I'm technically unemployed for the first time in 40 years.
