Takeover Rumours

Although I am hugely excited by the idea of this takeover, I must confess to having a few concerns. My fear over the last few season went beyond staying up, going down etc, but more about the actual survival of the club. Bury and Bolton demonstrated that I was right to be concerned. Our debt was so great, without Short paying it off, we were done. He was taken for a complete ride by people, who I imagine, he trusted and he trusted with the best interests of the club. Where there is money there is usually plenty of greed and hangers on, so although it would be great to be the next Man City, I hope the new owners realise that in this business particularly, you need to be smart. If Allardyce is the one they have turned to for advice, I'm not altogether sure it makes the best start.

I've worked for people like these and they make your head spin, the dynamism is absolutely relentless.

If you fall off the troop carrier they don't even look back to see if you survived, they just drive on.

People can't get their breath and anyone who questions the revolution is lead outside and out up against the wall.

It sounds harsh but it works and forms a much tighter team than having 'cake runs' and 'secret Santas'.

I'm sure there are people who've been through that and will recognise the scenario.
I was in the US Marine Corps ... 3 tours of duty in ‘nam ... we NEVER left anyone behind ...apart from the lads who starred in the deer hunter.

I’m not a Sunderland fan? First game 1980 against Leeds we won 4 1 you total melt am I not an entitled to an opinion
?
What is it about the Man City project you don’t like? Personally, I salivate at the thought of seeing the likes of Aguero scoring hat tricks against the likes of Newcastle, De Bruyne gracing The Stadium of Light with his skills, having a top notch manager , having the money to buy the cream of players and not the dregs, has been etc etc. I rest my case

not sure how true this is but I was told that they’ve looked at putting a roof on the stadium! They want to attract all sorts of events to us, different sports and bigger names for concerts. The roof would cost north of £20 million! I was like howld on could that not go in to the club and the reply I got was “don’t worry about that, if they are ready to spend that on a f***ing roof they have plenty to go in to the football side”. All from the same fella who gave me a few bits of info at Rochdale.
A roof and a roll out pitch would mean we could have concerts all year round.

I’ll cross that bridge if and when I come to it Stevie. I am fed up with all the dross I have put up with, mostly through blind loyalty. Don’t get me wrong I have seen some very sporadic good times but I am talking about a 60 year time span. Some supporters due to their youth won’t even have seen that much. I say give the younger generation a little bit of hope and enjoyment

Head to Netflix and among the myriad brilliant Ken Burns documentary series on there these days there is his series The West. While not entirely focusing on Native Americans, they form a large part of the content. Recommended.
Seen it but would like a new one mate.
Delirium setting in, not slept for days, fading ... fading
