He lied many times about who he was mind.

He claimed to have been “paddymackem” on here previously, whereas the reality was someone has simply called him that on the forum back in Dec so “claimed” it when lying

Not claiming he was from the club, but it was weird behaviour. He definitely isn’t a Sunderland fan

He was ousted sheepish....

Any idea what the ban was for ?
Hopefully it's a long one :D:D

I’m not getting excited until I hear their plans first hand.
Had way too many kick in the baws from safcnee disrespect to those offering up information but the last time I heard something special was happening from a poster we ended up with a double relegation.

I've absolutely no idea mate, that was the entire conversation. I believe they're just expecting we take this 'once in a lifetime' opportunity with both hands.

I know we've been kicked in the teeth before but I, for one, will come up smiling.

The support is undoubtedly there but the SOL needs to become a place other teams freeze at.

If our own players freeze they're the wrong ones and were bad buys, we need players with character who'll take responsibility.

There's no doubt we have a large fan base. Given what the fans have endured over the past few years it is to be expected it will take time for crowds to increase which they will without a doubt once the team starts performing. There has to be a recogniton that the average crowd is 30k for league one which is oustanding and is something that they should be aware of if they aren't already. I am sure SD and CM have made them well aware. If they get it right on the pitch they will get full a stadium. There are a large group of fickle fans. All clubs have them. There's the 25-30k hardcore support but probably about 15,000 that would return.

Is anyone else finding all this a bit surreal?
I'm not doubting any of it, just gob smacked.
Are we really going to go from rock bottom to potential big time Charlie's?
I think these Americans are looking at us as a potential Rocky scenario. We've done Netflix, now for Hollywood!!!

It’s completely surreal. I’m still convinced it’ll go tits up, a lifetime of following SAFC means I’ve a always got “a pessimist is never disappointed” mindset.

I can just see it, Friday we become the richest club in the world, Saturday we find out Nibiru isn’t a conspiracy theory after all 😤

I don't think we ever fully recovered from the 15 point season. A handful of occasions aside, the atmosphere was never quite right with a big crowd in. Fair weatherers making their gobs go about how things never change etc when things don't go according to plan.

not sure how true this is but I was told that they’ve looked at putting a roof on the stadium! They want to attract all sorts of events to us, different sports and bigger names for concerts. The roof would cost north of £20 million! I was like howld on could that not go in to the club and the reply I got was “don’t worry about that, if they are ready to spend that on a f***ing roof they have plenty to go in to the football side”. All from the same fella who gave me a few bits of info at Rochdale.

The mere whiff of success with an exciting attacking team and the SoL will be full again every week. Any sustained success and they'll have to extend imho

At least it’ll stop the seats from fading.

My guess/prediction is that the new owners will keep Ross until the end of the season as his contract will expire.

They will be lining up someone new for the start of next season. We can build up a head of steam between next May and August. Loads of PR and rabble rousing.

I think that Donald, Methven and Sartori will disappear within 3 years.
If the prospective new owners have the chance to be promoted this season, and its not beyond us at this time, they will already have identified areas that are failing and will move fast, that's what I would do. The alternative scenario is that, it gets to January and we don't even look like a team that has a chance of promotion with this manager and his staff are in control. What happens then, they fire him? The wait of six months, putting off cleared decks is time that cannot be clawed back. They (I wouldn't if it were my money) will not hesitate to pull the trigger, so why wait until then. It makes no sense.
