Good.
I’ve been banging on about this for ten years on here and closer to 40 irl. Any club owners should know their top five choices as next manager at any given time. The club should have someone logging every manager arounds activities in transfers, points per game, transfer profits, losses etc etc . That person doesn’t even need to ever be at the AOL or SOL which is probably preferable tbh as they’d seem a bit grim reaperish.
SAFC have lost managers for umpteen reasons over the years and every time it’s as if it’s the first time. Get it sorted safc ffs.

I hope whoever takes over at the helm brings with them a fixer who understands (from experience) the market we operate in, who in turn puts in place their own team with a very clear brief and approach to managing the off field aspects, recruitment, youth development, long term strategy, what are our aims?

We could do worse than buy one from a club that understands success, not that it would be allowable to poach a team of course, but i'm sure brass covers many a bump.

Also, we should build up the relevant teams and structure so that any new manager should come in and be impressed by the scouts, youth teams and so on that we have. He should have control over all those things and be able to bring people in to key roles, but he shouldn't need to bring in that many. And when he leaves for any reason that shouldn't also mean the loss of a small army of key staff.

In their world Delltasia, they're men of action and know that hesitation can cost huge sums.

I think we'll see a blur of activity with all kinds of appointments and posts being filled with people who use jet packs to get around.

The departments in charge of hospitality, sponsorship, development, PR, merchandising, etc will see fireworks.

People like this don't settle in, get to know the staff and give Doris the tea lady a cuddle ...

... everyone will have to wake and smell the coffee or check the wanted ads in the Echo.

They've already been advised, by someone who knows the game inside out, so I'm expecting the same formula on the football side.

I'll reserve judgement on who would be a better bet than Jack Ross.

If we're talking a Di Canio or Poyet type who were very good players but not much in the way of experience in management, and more than slightly eccentric to add, then no thanks.

If we're talking an Eddie Howe who has proven he can mould a team that can establish itself in the top flight, with comparatively little funds, then that's another matter.

'Knowing the game inside out, doesn't necessarily translate to appointing the right manager for us.

Give Jack Ross 5 million quid to bring a centre forward in then I'm convinced he's the right man for us at this level. Whether or not he is the right man in the Championship remains to be seen and is up for debate.

To get us out of this league, we don't need much, but we do need a quality addition up front. Without that we're not going up; with that we certainly are.

Ross has shown he can get hold of players with little money and they can shine in this league. He clearly has a team around him who have an eye for a player. He's just missing that one player, but with little money how does he get hold of him?

If this takeover does happen and there's money available, we certainly don't need a Keane shipping loads of money and landing us in a boat load of debt to get us up; we need a Ross who will spend wisely on the right players while keeping us financially on an even keel.
Not for me. Hughton would be a fantastic appointment

I wouldn't argue with that, but I think Ross deserves a chance given that he was part of a set up that stopped the rot.

Use Microsoft Teams for managing everything.

What they should know without doubt is what their own club is, where they want it to go, and who can take it there. We historically do not.

Every gaffer brings with him his own approach, but the club should dictate the approach by succeeding before hand. We have no blueprint, maybe now we will? Here's hoping.
