He's just being a sheep.. Follows the flock, too scared to say anything else
A lot? How many do you think a lot was? 10.000, 20, 000. The 3rd tier gates suggest it was in the hundreds. Newcastle pre Keegan started from quite a low base. If we have a winning team the crowds will come back. We were getting reserve crowds of 30.000 plus for reserve games when the SOL first opened.A lot of those tickets were either given away by the club or sold at a cheap in packages, as most of us already know. SD has said he won't be doing any of this as it means the club runs at a loss. I'm sure he said something in his last podcast about the club earning more matchday income from tickets now than we were when we were in the Premier League, despite crowds being 10-15k bigger. I'm not being pessimistic, it's the reality.
It took Man City years of success to start selling out the Etihad, and even now you see empty seats.
I just don't see much point in expanding the SoL.
Watching 'Coach Trip' and his Microwave meal for 1.Imagine actually being steve300000000 ffs.

I just don't see much point in expanding the SoL until it's a certainty that the demand is there.
The free ticket might be true in the Short era but I don't think there were (m)any free tickets in the early days of the SOL, who on earth would spend millions to extend the stadium in order to give free tickets away.A lot of those tickets were either given away by the club or sold at a cheap in packages, as most of us already know. No one will ever do another man city
Nothing has been announced unless I’ve missed the grand unveiling.
I’m sure there are plenty businesses in talks that don’t end up materialising. Just have a look at Bolton and Bury for proof of that.
