Oh Wey.. We'll dee the same.. Just drift alongOxford have billionaire owners too.
She was there on their behalf. She was. The people 'backing' her, who allegedly were the money men weren't seen at the match.
Following a club is about dreaming but there’s a difference between dreaming and delusion and I feel quite a few have slipped into the latter.
Are we rich yet?![]()
Cant argue with that, but I do feel a little more optimistic than I did a few weeks ago..think I give my first negative post in a while..something about the football being unbearable to watch..something like thatNothing wrong with optimism but some of the comments are becoming increasingly magesque.
At present we are a league 1 club with a league 1 squad, a negative cowardly manager and owners without much capital to take us any further beyond.
Now if these ‘potential’ new owners are rubber stamped and make their intentions clear as to how they want us competing with the big boys then I’ll be delighted but not until.
They have connections to some huge global brands too. Tommy Hilfiger being one of them.
Not hard to imagine the new strip...

We've always been cheaper per fan than most teams though haven't we? If SAFC reduced the amount of discounted/free tickets then would every fan still be able to attend?£12m difference in the Premier League when you factor in TV deals is a drop in the ocean. Besides which you've chosen a miserable season for us, if we were competitive there'd be no need for free or cheap tickets.
I can't see it being expanded for a long time yet as they'll just up the ticket prices to get near capacity crowds but maintain the supply/demand for tickets and this also allows for expected crowd fluctuations given the opposition and kickoff day/time. An extra 20K now on top of the 41K crowd at £12 average ticket over a 19 game season is an extra £4.56m which would just cover the wage of a £90K week player. It's a canny figure but not that much given most non big 6 clubs pushing for top 10 this season with probably get £200m in revenue.Given our area and the way the SOL is designed and land around the stadium we need competitive pricing and we can extend cheapily and easily. With an increased SOL we make more money on merchandice and catering and people seeing a packed 60,000+ stadium, advertising etc.
We are probably uniquely placed in the country to do this (the mags would love to but are land locked as example) and Im sure its in the new investors thinking.

However by doing this they would potentially price out fans but this is something that happens at 'bigger' clubs already and has for years.
It is absolutely more positive than it looked during a desperate pre season and opening game but people just seem to be getting so far all ahead of themselves.Cant argue with that, but I do feel a little more optimistic than I did a few weeks ago..think I give my first negative post in a while..something about the football being unbearable to watch..something like that

I just think it all sounds a bit too good to be true and it would be just so typically Sunderland for it to all crash and burn.
That would certainly teach the mags how to do lob sided properlyWe have the option of another tier on the west stand to go to 75,000 if needs be![]()
Ticket income will mean nowt after we win the champions leagueWe've always been cheaper per fan than most teams though haven't we? If SAFC reduced the amount of discounted/free tickets then would every fan still be able to attend?

The SOL was built by a man who made his money from bathrroms and kitchens the lop sided carbuncle was built by a man who made his mone from scrap metal. That would certainly teach the mags how to do lob sided properly

As I said something is clearly going on but until it’s done I just can’t get too excited.I agree it could all crash and burn (although I do believe it's a done deal as I believe @Reiver). But there's too much info naming names, confirming names and wealth to think it's just rumours. It's been on Sky etc, if it was incorrect then surely there'd be statements from both the club and the MSD company. It literally looks like the only thing stopping it happening is EFL, why they'd not sanction it is beyond me. I also think Stewart would have done all of the homework needed to ensure that won't happen.

Why are people bothered what the mags think and what we'd do if it was them? Fuck me, how massively pathetic
As I said earlier, your argument and thoughts have been consistent throughout and I sometimes wonder if some people thrive on negativity, wanting things to go tits up in order to say “I told you so”. If true I find that quite sad.Sadly totally expected and from the same predictable miserable bunch of losers.
