Blokes the biggest wanker on this board, and that takes some doing. The people who supposedly support us yet constantly slag off the fans or the area is unreal.
He's a massive WUM and doesn't answer awkward questions...I've asked him twice if he's ever been to the SOL or a lads game...no reply from him both times....hes been sussed by this board

I’ve been reading this thread with great interest like the majority on here. Thanks to @Reiver for all the info.
I know you have been getting a bit het up with some of the negativity on here and some of it has been cringe worthy.
However I understand people who are holding back a little bit on the celebrations until it’s all officially announced.
We are, as a supporter base conditioned to expect shit to happen, and this will be a dream come true when it is signed and sealed.

I joined the RAF in 78 and will always tell people I'm from Sunderland it's my town and will always be my town. When I come home seeing penshaw monument I know I'm home. It's my first my last my everything.
Good job the wife doesn't see these posts.
Yes I've had a few

Royal Signals in 1966 you rookie

Same sentiments though

So do I mate, I have no problem with any of it. As you say it's hard to take in and people must be thinking 'why us'?

What I don't particularly like is when people are telling me, and others, not to get excited.

What we all do is our business and I'm excited ;)

This is true. I’m sure when Man City were taken over and latterly Wolves their supporters thought the same. Why us? Just thankful it is us and we get it over the line.

I'm of the same opinion as yourself ,I've always tried to be positive even hopeful ,but understand the negativity as well .Think for some negativity is a defence mechanism .Whilst awaiting the customary kick in the pods

Whatever they say some people will say 'Talk is cheap, I'll believe it when I see it, we've heard all this before, Yanks just like Short, blah f***ing blah'.

Sorry if I'm a little abrupt, I just get sick of people continually and automatically whinging.
No, quite understand.. I'm in that camp too. When the moneys in the bank, the contracts have been signed and the owners speak, then i'll and others will be in a position to make a judgement. Yanks, Awabs, Chinks...doesn't matter who it is.

Same here mate joined the Army 2003 now live in Camberley but Sunderland is always my home. I make a point of coming up on the A19 and when the monument comes in view a warm feeling runs through me
