I'm not having it as plumb, I can see why he didn't give it out. Either way they burned their review so it's tough. We've been on the end of a few either way

Can totally see why he didnt give it in real timr, but reviews show it was plumb. Unless hitting middle stump half way up isn't plumb.
Can we all agree on something. No matter what sir ben does on the cricket pitch from now on he has a free pass and the smb should never have a bad word said against the bloke.

We should defend any future shitness that may occur, not that it will. But, if it does he Is allowed to to have ducks, run outs, wides that are so wide that we all chuckle.

He is a sporting legend and least we forget the joy of the summer of 2019.

Yes. He's a match winner, a game changer, a special talent. And these players will have moments of madness and drops in form. It's part and parcel of the game.

And we shall defend him.

After yesterday I was remembering the 1981 series dad and I are massive cricket fans and how technology has changed how quickly the speed of information - we were on a family holiday in Malta while the Edgebaston test was being played - the only way we knew what was going on in the test was from reading the papers but at the time the papers did not arrive until the day after they were printed.

Botham's wonderful spell of bowling on the Sunday to win the game - would have been in the newspapers on the Monday - which we were able to purchase on the Tuesday - think we bought a copy of every paper on that Tuesday to read all about the exploits of that day.

A different time and different memories but ones that last.

He is, but it will have the biggest impact on Lyon, as it was his wicket and had that have happened he wouldn't have had a chance to drop the ashes. Be all sorts going through his head as a result.

He is referring to sending Leach back as turning down a single.

Was never on tbf.
There wasn't a single there, it went straight to the fielder.

I had to work yesterday and finally saw the highlights at about 11 p.m. The result was incredible and Stokes' performance more so. But I did wonder. Did we actually make it harder for ourselves, with those soft dismissals?

It’s easy to call almost every dismissal soft. Bairstow was there to hit, Root would back himself to hit that through mid wicket. Archer was taking risks but his risk taking got vital boundaries. So yes by batsmen getting out we made it harder for ourselves but that’s cricket

Love his quote about dealing with the pressure of Test Matches:

"I'll tell you what pressure is. Pressure is a Messerschmitt up your arse. Playing cricket is not."

He was an accomplished fighter pilot during the Battle of Britain, so he knew what he was talking about.
Great man too mate.
Kim Hughes is a funny bloke

He was relieved that someone else can take the mantle of losing a match like that.
Stokes said it hit his front pad and wasnt turning and cant believe that drs had him out.
I just assumed that when watching the highlights

If that's the case it should have carried on down the leg stump line.
