Takeover Rumours

Just a shame a section of our fans insist on singing about Newcastle lately for some strange reason..after goals etc.
im usually not arsed about singing newcastle songs but thought it was strange that whilst the players were still celebrating a goal, they sang ''when i was young''

This is in an ideal world... I'd still like to see what these guys have to say and their long term ideas to grow the club and the direction they wish to go even though the deal was signed some weeks ago and as you have (I think said in another post) only need EFL ratification which could be by the end of this week.
Why what long term plans would you like
Mine is though. I’m seeking to understand what people think will be the immediate practical outcome and features of this prospective takeover, given the limited understanding of the situation that I have.

I’m interested and curious.
Well i can answer that hardly any in the immediate future. So do you think we should tell them not to bother then.

Just talks nonsense to wind us up . I don’t agree with what you say about enjoying this league but I know what it’s based on and I respect it .
I'd love for us to be winning games in the Premier League regularly marra. I've said loads on here though that going to the game, especially aways, is more than just 90 minutes of football for me. I've made good friends with people from following Sunderland. It's also family time. People who know me will tell you there's three generations of us go to the games together. So as you can imagine it dominates a lot of the spare time at home. I'll moan and get frustrated like everyone else does, but I find I can get over it pretty quickly. Maybe I'm just a bit of a sucker?

You'd like to think that despite there being a lot of long distance negotiation that has got us this close, the fact they were here this weekend means it might get signed up while they are here?

Thanks Grumpy. As you can tell I’m not exactly business savvy

Knowing what needs to be filed and when hasn't got much to do with being business savvy, more memorising (or looking up) a fairly boring set of rules. In this case, you have to notify appointments and resignations, and changes in what are known as "persons with significant control" (basically individuals or companies who control more than 75% of the shares). Obviously, none of that can be done until those events have actually happened, and even then the filings normally don't become public for a couple of weeks.

They were all in the boardroom untill about 9pm and there was very little booze drank. That's a lot of talking.

Apart from a press release what indication would we need to see that it’s happening?

Didn’t they tell John Hall to go fuck himself when he wanted to invest in Sunderland?

That went well...
Ikea anarl. Becos they thought it’d kill off furniture shops in Sunderland........instead they killed off furniture shops everywhere.

It irrespective what my plans are, I dont and will never own the club. The owners do need let the basics of what they intend to do be known.
Yep i get but if you were rich what would be your plans.Im sure they will tell us as soon as they take over,or as ive said on another post tell not to bother

u reckon mansour was savvy in owning a footy club before city?
No, but he will have been briefed before (i think it was Cook who was CEO at City) he put his hand in his pocket and hand over hundreds of millions to take City to where they are now. There will be a press conference confirming the investment and we will just have to wait until then.

There probably won't be anything visible before that. If things are as advanced as I've been led to believe it's a matter of getting the final contract drafted and signed off, and the new owners getting EFL approval (which should be a formality given their profiles). All that will happen behind closed doors.

More guesswork from me but I see this as a catalyst to motivate local people/business, the council, MP's, etc to invest time, money and effort.

I don't believe the Dell people will be arriving with cases full of money to throw at the area.

And it would be crass to engage in any John Hall style Geordie Nation stupidity imo. We all have an interest in our club and we'll all feel better about it if we pull together rather than just watch money being thrown at us.

Like I said earlier this is 95% guesswork 4% gossip and 1% actual info. But I feel so confident I've stuck my neck out and said this will definitely happen, the investment is serious and the plan long term.

If this all goes wrong I'll probably leave the board in shame tbh.
Give a man a fish and he’ll eat that day. Whereas give a man a fishing rod.....

The way I see it (rightly or wrongly ) is this MSD company are there to manage Michael Saul Dell's wealth and these 3 blokes that come over on Saturday work for /directors of MSD.?
How people can say dell isn't involved has me scratching my head like .

Exactly 'MSD'..speaks volumes

What if you don't like fish
trust me mate if ya starving, youll like fish :)
I can't get my head around how people and the press think he's not going to have much to do with safc ,from what I can see it's all about him and this MSD are just glorified personal assistants.
exactly hes a multi billionaire success story, his ego will see him very involved
