Why the fuck are they bothered. Their owner has just allowed Rafa to spend £20 million on a player ranked behind Bradley Wright Philips in MLS and given bruce £60 million to spend of which £40 million of that looks sound investment....cough cough
The fuckers are never happy.

Just what is their problem. They need to think about how they can intimidate the dark lord as their protests so far have been piss pants funny

My god they’re shitting themselves, aren’t they?! Of all the random, weird things to dig up to display sour grapes, that is off the scale! If some Sheik from Saudi, one of the most despicable regimes on earth, turned up at the landfill with a few billion to spend, I bet their principles would sharp disappear and the ‘welcome to our club’ bedsheets would be out in force.

NUFC have it on a 99 year 'peppercorn' lease which, iirc, was signed around 1972 after the club had threatened to leave town and build a stadium out at Gosforth Park.

If the club decided to leave they'd be forced to demolish the stadium, return the land to a proper state and hand it back to the owners.

The demolition costs would be huge although, I suppose, they could flog off a few of the seats and Sports Direct advertising boards :lol:

Cheers mate - I genuinely didn’t know that about them. Still, peppercorn lease for such a massive expanse of land in the city centre (depending on the lease terms) could have very significant value - either from the freeholders or a new occupier.

Anyway, we’re in a much better position stadium-wise, that much is for certain!

Sorry if I was abrupt earlier, the match was on and I wrongly assumed you were a Mag

The long and short of it is that Newcastle are stuck at SJP despite various plans to move over the years.

I remember seeing an artists impression of the 'Town Moor stdium' and it would've been quite impressive ...

... a bit like the SOL :lol:
