Takeover Rumours

If it does happen, just watch the many knackers on here spouting off about buying Premier League first teamers on big wages for big fees totally IGNORING the fact we are bound by financial fair play (or whatever the equivalent is down in the depths of the EFL).

Joking apart do many of us want to become a Man City? I look forward to having a stable and successful club with a team that plays good entertaining football that's known to be able to give any Club from here or abroad a run for its money.

What a joy it will be to look at a fixture list and never again have to write off a quarter of the games before a ball has been kicked. I want Man City and the rest of them to say..... "Oh bugger we've go Sunderland at the SoL next week".

I don't want a Club whose only ability is to spend daft amounts of money and buying players that no one else could ever hope to afford - were's the fun in that?

Do you have the same outlook on life in general mate or is your negativity reserved for all things SAFC?

Obviously people shouldn’t be getting carried away but surely you can see that there may just be something positive on the horizon here.

That's just it. Nothing positive on the horizon despite a plethora of rumours has been the mainstay of our season for years. The media and press must think we are so desperate for something positive they can just start a rumour about something positive and we will lap it up.

Yeah I get that completely. Just making the point that like Campbell came with park or like wolves owners came with mendes I’d be much happier if there were footballing people involved. That said, Donald staying on definitely helps in this regard.

I know where you're coming from, it won't work just hoying money around. Maybe Donald has tried and failed to get the right football people in because they are well aware of our recent fairly disastrous history. But the stability already achieved and with these new investors on board + the stadium, AOL, fan base etc suddenly any head scout, DOF, head coach who might have turned us down before might see things in a new light, not literally but hopefully you get what I mean.

Ok I've missed half of this thread and not going through 40 odd pages. I've got 2 questions

A) how credible is it that it is Dell (or anyone with serious financial clout)?
B) if it is really happening how far along is it?

When they said they were looking for investment I never expected it to be on the scale of this , DELLighted

What are you talking about? Do you honestly believe that there’s no investment imminent? Do you really think this whole Dell link is the brainchild of some journo hack?

Like I said, we really shouldn’t be getting carried away but surely even you can see that something is happening this time.
