That display at Norwich was one of the worst I've seen since we were in the PL ....
... I know the Mags keep pretending they think it's all funny, or a good thing to get rid of Ashley, but that's obviously nonsense.

If I was them I'd be absolutely gutted at the state of the club, everything is wrong with it from below Ashley to bottom.
Tidied ;)

The managers that will entertain the role are of a calibre or lesser than Bruce so ultimately what’s the point? The job is suffocated under Ashley’s tenure with no will to move forward beyond attempting 17th every year.
So what? His club, his money. Nobody is forcing you to go. He turned your club around in terms of business when he took it over, it's commentators like you that give your club a bad name, the fact that you spend half if your life on here just backs my claims up.

Don’t know. Don’t care, letting Rafa walk away confirmed even further the lack of ambition. No one of any standing at all is going to take the job, it’s going to become one of the PFM merry go round jobs, might not even be that.

Sherwood/Clark will be next. Or Redfearn finally.

i dont think they could have got rafa to stay

to me both rafa and ashley are game players/ political manipulators

both are v good in some aspects of their jobs (ashely at business, getting mad money for players signed for cheap)

benitez v good at motivating and organising players and got some cracking bargains among some flops

but both v strong in their self belief and neither would back down from what they want/believe in, ashley probably to get young cheap players, stay up/midtable on the cheap and make a profit

rafa did well for staying up with plenty weeks to spare both times but to improve enough for what the fans want id guess he would have to spend impossible amounts of money, like man city levels to break the top 6.
Ashley was never going to do that as it would bankrupt the team, so rafa fine well knew that and probably asked for impossible conditions to stay knowing fine well he was f***ing off to china with rondon (im sure if rondon wasnt sorted to china months ago another prem side would have had him)

Anyone seen the stuff on twitter regarding the True Geordie 😂😂😂😂 I’m not putting it on here could be a banning offence

Apparently someone has put it up on From the Banks.

I might sign up on there later to have a look.

He's removed anything incriminating from his Twitter feed.

For what the fans want? Fuck off man , we just want a modicum of ambition to keep investing and wanting to keep going forwards, like Leicester, like Wolves, like Everton just like a Bournemouth or a Watford .We don’t want top 6, 2 relegations saw to that forever but we’d like a season to start where the whole ambition or hope is to stay up, be reasonable comfortable each year like teams I’ve said.
We have no divine right to even that, but that’s what we want, this top 6 shite is spoken by no Newcastle fans bar a very few knackers.
Impossible conditions? Don’t get me started.

So is spending £60m pre-season not ambition enough or do you constantly demand that little bit more?

Leicester have spent absolutely mad money though havent they?

id say watford by a lot of cheap randoms , many come off, many dont dont think they spend any more than newcaslte other than the lad for 40m the other week?

fair enough, its not unreasonable to want to have a team who can have a good go at things like wolves and everton have - but are either of them going to do that much better than all the also rans considering their spends on players?

30m for keane for example.

Ashley probably cant justify that in his head, and rafa probably wont accept being on the same also ran level of watford and bournemouth
